I bought these for 2 of my hens who are my rooster's "favourites". The fabric is very durable and seems like it should last a long time. Unfortunately, one of the hens is deathly afraid of it and will not stop panicking (screaming, launching herself across the coop, etc) no matter how many times I try to put it on her. The other hen is happy to wear it, but now all the other chickens freak out when they see her coming and she doesn't understand why everyone is running away from her. Eventually I had to take it off because she was getting ostracized. Would've been a good solution if only my scaredy-cat chickens weren't such fashion critiques.

These saddles were amazing when our rooster got a little too much for our girls. We left them on and all their wounds have healed and he has not been able to hurt them any more. After we put them on it took a few minutes for the hens to get use to them. Over all I am very happy with them.
