I had several problems installing this rad. The rad cap is much higher than my old one and it nearly hits the hood when closing. The location of the upper rad hose is different from my old rad and the outlet is located lower than my old rad making it very difficult to clear the cross member and it makes the rad almost too high. Because the upper hose is located near the center of the rad, and the old one was on the right hand side, I had to cut out a spot for the hose to go in the support that is screwed to the hood underneath that gives it some strength. A lot of work to install it but it works great and looks great!

I wish this would have worked, its a nice looking radiator but I could not find any adapters for the Transmission oil tank! Site says holes are 1/8" MIT. I could not find any adapters to go from that to 1/2" flare for stock lines on 1956 Chevrolet. 5 stars for product minus 2 stars for adapter chaos and repacking for return! FYI the welds on this were awesome, I was nervous when I saw that review pic left by Bobby G! I think the photo of that radiator made them step up there quality control, my radiator looked like it was machine welded!

Had a custom copper/brass one built and it wouldn’t keep the engine cool. This one fit right in and keeps it cool!

I ordered a radiator for my 1955 Chevy. It arrived a week early but had some bent fins. I notified the company and they were prompt to reply. The next day I received a reply saying a replacement radiator would be shipped N/C!I received the replacement in 4 days and it was in great condition.This was a very positive experience for me, no hassles whatsoever.Thank You "Alloy Works".I'm excited to get the radiator installed for a cooler running 55 BelAir!Rodh
