Heavy duty steel and aluminum construction made short work of the eight filters I had been waiting to cut open. Just have to barley touch the blade and increase the pressure lightly.I have read many reviews on Amazon and Bobistheoilguy.com and some costing twice as much weren't half as good.

Pretty robust construction, especially for 20 bucks! Comes with spare cutter wheels. Easy to use. Will fit all common filters, unless you run a heavy diesel shop or something. Thumbs up.

Honda and Subaru filters are easily and cleanly cut. All it takes is a few of turns of the tool around the stationary filter from the the first snug touch of the blade, a few more turns of it from the second snug tightening, and then just similarly tighten one last time and keep turning tool until filter casing separates. Not sure how long the blade will last, but the extra blades are a plus. Excellent value, but only wish it would have come in a case.
