JUST ME

I purchased the A-Premium Upgraded Aluminum Coolant Housing Water Outlet to replace the original GM plastic part on my 2015 Chevrolet Trax. The plastic outlet had disintegrated over time, and it was barely being held in place by the hose clamp. I was worried it would fail completely, so I decided to replace it with something more durable. This aluminum replacement is a huge upgrade! It fits perfectly and was much sturdier than the original plastic version. The installation was straightforward, and the included inlet hose and oil cooler hose made the process even easier. After installation, I felt much more confident that the part would last and not cause further issues.Overall, I’m really pleased with this replacement. It’s built to last and has a much better build quality than the GM plastic part. If you’re dealing with a disintegrating coolant outlet, this aluminum version is a great solution to prevent future problems. Highly recommend!

This A-Premium Aluminum Water Outlet is a well-machined and perfectly fitting replacement for the problematic OEM plastic version found in many GM vehicles, like my wife's 2013 Buick Encore. The aluminum construction is a definite upgrade for reliability and strength.Installation was straightforward, and the part fit without issue, and no leaks afterward.. However, there was one significant problem: the included oil cooler coolant return hose not even close to the correct size. It was significantly oversized compared to the OEM version and the Delphi replacement I had already purchased. I've included a photo of the hose included with this kit, alongside the correctly-sized OEM replacement hose, to demonstrate the difference. While I highly recommend the aluminum coolant housing itself, I strongly advise against relying on the included hoses. It's best to source those separately to ensure a proper fit and avoid potential issues.

The coolant housing is expertly crafted with high-quality machining. It is an excellent replacement option as it is made from durable aluminum in comparison to the OEM coolant housing that is made from plastic. The water outlet includes a gasket, an inlet hose, a coolant return hose, a temperature sensor, a quick connector adapter, and mounting bolts. The aluminum coolant housing offers great value and is expected to last significantly longer than the original plastic version.

The gasket came warped right out the box. It seems thick enough but the material is probably low quality. I wasn’t planning on using it either way though. I am going to get a Fel-Pro gasket from auto zone. The OEM GM plastic part is 55$ but honestly wasn’t trying to go with plastic. The aluminum upgrade seems mandatory for reliability. Hope this helps someone.
