I appreciated the individually labeled bags, separately labeled parts and easy to follow directions. I do think this looks better than a lot of metal stands, but I do believe there are stands available that have better eye appeal for less cost. The build quality worries me slightly. I’m not sure I would trust this to hold a fully filled 30gal tank if it got bumped slightly. I think this would do great holding a reptile enclosure or a terrarium!

Reviewing SwaaVee Aquarium Stand, 30 Gallon Fish Tank Stand with Storage, I ordered the 30-gallon stand. I didn’t think I would be as out-off by the open air top as I am. Since it’s not a solid surface top shelf, you are limited by size of aquarium. I though my three nano 5 gallons would fit on the top shelf, but due to their dimensions, there is not enough support on the top shelf. If it were a solid surface, there would be. That means I need to either put my larger aquarium on the top shelf of this stand (since it’s already set up, it will be a nightmare to move), or put my nano’s on the second shelf of this stand, which is not ideal. Especially not when there are three of them.I am choosing to have purchase a piece of wood and have it cut to the size of the top shelf. I will stain it/polyurethane it, before putting it on the top shelf of this stand. That way, I can set up my three 5 gallon nano’s on the top shelf.Aside from that inconvenience (I was aware when I ordered it that it was not solid on top, I just didn’t realize it would hamper how I used it), it is a good stand. It is solid and sturdy. It can definitely handle the weight of a 30 gallon, filled, aquarium on top, with smaller aquarium on the second shelf. It was easy to put together and the instructions were clear. The split shelf on the second level is not the best idea, but it doesn’t interfere with the usage or the looks. It just gets dirt and debris trapped in it, so I need to fold up a wet paper towel regularly and run through the crevice. Rating 4 stars.

I got this stand because it looked sleek and had decent storage, but after setting it up, I’m not sure I’d feel safe putting a full 30-gallon aquarium on it. The frame feels a bit too light, and there’s a slight wobble even when it’s empty. It’s probably fine for a turtle tank or a smaller setup, but I wouldn’t risk it with a heavy glass tank full of water. That said, it does look good and works well for holding supplies or decor which sucks because i got this to move my daughters tank, and the above said, i wont be moving it.

Assembly is simple, materials are pretty good quality, and the shelf is stable and strong when completed. Sized well for 30-gallon, but can hold smaller tanks as well. It stands a little shorter than I imagined, but looks good and works well.
