This is literally the best motherboard you can get in this price range, whether you are going to pair it with Intel 14 13 or 12; it will work perfectly, and thankfully mine arrived labeled “ready intel core 14,” so I can directly use it with Intel Core 14 without any issues. It arrived in BIOS 3101, which supports all the three CPU generations out of the box, which is something I like, and I liked the M.2 card that they provide. I wasn’t expecting that, so it was a surprise for me. 😅 so there is total 5 M.2 slots and it’s actually more than enough for me and the motherboard in general has literally all the features i need and more and the most important thing is that it's budget-friendly. really recommend it instead of paying double the price for Z790 motherboard. This is more than enough for any normal use or gamer.

Great product. Has all the M.2 slots ill ever need. does everything i need. i love the design. and i love the readout on the motherboard that it has for error codes and what not. My old PC has had it. I needed something better and i found this beauty!

i build a couple of computers each year at home since 20+ years. I will say this board is a good one once you have upgrade the bios to the absolute latest one. Its a little picky on ram compatibility though.Very nice looking board in a Premium packaging. Come with an add on pcie card if you want to add more nvme SSD. The only minus, its a little slower to boot compare to my Msi z690

While technically going down a tier from my old ROG maximus board this is still a well optioned and feature packed.Pros: Many m.2 slots for all your needs. DDR5 for future proofing. Gen 5 pcie slot. M.2 pcie expansion card(not given in z790 model)Cons: no power button on the motherboard

The motherboard is functioning as expected, but there are some audio issues. Im not sure if it's the audio drivers or the soundboard but there were instances of noticeable crackling and popping sounds in my earphones. I tried reinstalling the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website as well as updating bios, but unfortunately, none of the updates seemed to fix it. So I had to completely buy a new sound adapter which thankfully worked. If you plan on buying this board, be sure to install it as soon as you get it and ensure everything works (Instead of waiting past the refund deadline like me). Other than that, this motherboard works great so far!

I bought this as a replacement to my current board in which I created another computer for my daughter. This board is amazing. Wifi 6 (comes with magnetic antenna to attach to side of case). It comes with a CD for drivers, so make sure you have a USB CD drive to plug in to install the drivers for wifi and all others. I like that it also has 3 m.2 slots and plenty of sata connectors. I am very pleased with this purchase 😊

i just recently bought the motherboard to replace the current one i had when i was about to by the motherboard i saw a review in the uk saying not to buy because there were bent pins bu when i bought it there was nothing wrong with it defintley would recommend buying

I'll point out the pros of this motherboard before I get to the main issues.-The option to use LGA 1200 compatible coolers due to the double mounting holes-Includes a dual M.2 add-in card for up to 5 M.2 SSDs for storage-Great RAM compatibility, no issues running DDR5-6000 C36-Insane amount of IO, more than most would need.And now for why it isn't a 5-star board.-Is NOT compatible with large air coolers. The insanely large VRM heatsink will be in the way for many of them, including the Deepcool Assassin III and the Noctua NH-D15. I had to buy an AIO water cooler for compatibility.-Using the top M.2 slot next to the CPU actually steals PCIE lanes from the top PCIE slot where your graphics cards would go, preventing it from using its max bandwidth. Probably wouldn't be an issue if we actually get PCIE gen 5 graphics cards, but still worth mentioning right now.-The M.2 add-in card is a bit wonky. Even though both slots should've been compatible when it was inserted in the bottom PCIE slot, one of the drives was disabled even with proper BIOS settings. So I have my 3 drives all over the place, 2 in the bottom slots of the motherboard and 1 in the M.2 add-in card.These gripes can be overcome but it is annoying to deal with. I wanted to use the HERO board instead, but that board in particular has severe QC issues. Fortunately none for the ROG Strix in my case.

Ordered and returned 2 of these, both were defective. I've built 5 computers last week alone and have been making PC builds for the past +10 years so it's not like I don't know what I'm doing. Not a single problem with my other LGA 1700 motherboards from MSI and Gigabyte. These two Asus Strix Z690-E wouldn't post after a few days or would randomly crash and return error 55 among other error codes. My RAM and other components weren't to blame as they were all fully working with other boards. After a quick search on Google & Reddit, you can tell that this specific motherboard (along with other Asus boards) is plagued with problems, including error 55. And no, updating the BIOS to the latest version or any other possible solution wouldn't solve anything. Don't waste your time and energy with this defective product and just get another LGA 1700 motherboard. Besides, the features of this board don't justify such a high price, and if you are air cooling with a Be Quiet! or Noctua cooler, you'll have to rotate it 90 degrees because of the board design, and this really isn't an optimal airflow. Serious quality control issues at Asus or defective board design. Either way, look elsewhere!
