I have been trying everything to get it to work on my 2019 ram Eco dieselCan’t find any software that goes on 2017I know it must be user error, but they do not make it easy to find software and do not want to make the mistake and purchase software that will not work

We recently were on the hunt for a used sprinter van. Of course sellers tell you nothings wrong, but this handy little gadget makes them honest! Set up.is easy, downloaded the app, then the free Mercedes Benz version. App is easy to use and you can take screen shots to reference later. Definitely saved us from purchasing a vehicle with problems. Great product!

Owning a Mercedes, this tool is amazing in accessing multiple modules and obtaining codes that you wouldn't otherwise get from a simple scan. Per example, my Start/Stop wouldn't work most of the time and I was able to get confirmation from this tool that this was due to the main battery being low/old. You can also access some live data. The downsides, I find it unfortunate that it's limited to one car brand (you can get more but they are 30something dollars more for 1 year). You can still access normal OBD check engine codes for any car though - at least. Also, this tool is SO SLOW. You really have to be patient in getting where you want to be. Pulling up transmission oil temperature per example can easily take you 3-4 minutes.... but for the price and the info it's able to get you, I guess its an okay trade off.I would recommend it to anyone who has a car with a lot of tech in it to get an understanding of what's happening with the car, even if you're not *that* mechanically inclined.. it could help understand what's happening before bringing it to a mechanic.I would buy it again and I would recommend to family/friends.

Easy enough to setup with phone/tablet Bluetooth. Haven't got too deep with it but it does more than I expected for the price. Great value for hobbyist like me.

This Bluetooth code reader works great. Cheapest and best way I’ve found for a pro level scan tool that lets you read and clear check engine lights, brake and traction control codes, read all sorts of live data. Heck, I think should have bought this earlier and programmed the new remotes I bought instead of taking it to a shop. Very impressed.Yes, you get one brand of car for free and have to pay for each additional one. But it’s still the best deal out there.

Still in the first week of use, but so far Im totally amazed. The app to use is HT200 (at least on the android side of things..).Its not nearly as polished as the Torque Pro app I was using with my generic obd dongle before, but wow the amount of extra info about the systems on your vehicle is astonishing.OBD/EOBD info is available for every vehicle , but the real shine is once you add manufacturer specific modules. You get one for free (I picked GM) and its permanent. Any other manufacturer specific modules have to be added on at about $15 each. Not sure of their process/security of that part yet. This thing can poke into transmission details, door switches, parking lights, cylinder deactivation info, TPMS, you name it. Vehicles are rolling computers nowadays.Although it cant fix things itself, it can indeed help you troubleshoot in an advanced way.My only gripe would be the somewhat slow update speed (could be my phone/bluetooth) for the live date streams, and the app design. It would be a dream to have Torque Pro - like UI with this app/dongle !

I considered a professional quality tablet type tool but the cost is pushing $1000+ if I want to code and have bidirectional capability. This device doesn't do either of those, but it does provide a lot more detail than a basic ELM/Torque setup, and it costs a fraction of a tablet. Download the manufacturer specific file and the diagnostic tools are pretty comprehensive. I downloaded Benz (the free file), BMW, and Ford (for $20 CDN ea) and have run all 3 with no issues. Able to diagnose and clear codes that my ELM/Torque setup couldn't. I like the fact it's super compact, requires no external power, can purchase files for other makes as needed, and it's simple to use. I have BMW shop software on an old laptop, while it's much more capable for coding it's also much more complicated to use and there's a learning curve for sure. It was cheap to acquire and get running, but the number of hours I put into the learning curve was a bit much. I'm now inclined to avoid inexpensive/high learning curve tools and opt instead for more expensive/little to no learning curve. Not sure how the 2 would compare for live data, but I must say the Autel is pretty comprehensive in this regard. I've yet to use a number of the service functions on the Autel (battery reset, key coding, TPMS, DPF regen, etc) but in any case I think it was money well spent until I can bring myself to buy a professional quality tablet. Can't comment on tech support as I have not used it.
