Worked perfectly when replacing all four TPMS sensors in a Subaru XV. It's so nice to be able to DIY instead of having to go back to the Subaru dealership.

Should have purchased one of these years ago. Had a small problem with the charger but customer service was very fast responding to my concern and solved the problem immediately. Great customer service. The unit is a little pricey but you get what you pay for.shipping and delivery was very fast.

The tool can scan and recognize a new TPMS sensor but it cannot communicate this new ID to the vehicle because it doesn't have an OBD connection. If you have a clonable sensor then this tool can make your new sensor appear to be the one you're replacing. In that case, you have to program the sensor before putting it into the tire of course. So very limited usage.Having to return it for the one with the OBD connection.Addendum: I ended up buying the Autel TS 501 and it works perfectly with the OBD cable. I also wanted to mention that the Autel support team reached out to me. That shows a lot of belief in their product. If your vehicle can be programmed without an OBD cable then the 408 might be good for you. The 501 was the right one for me.

I got this to copy and program 4 sensors in my winter tires and it worked perfectly. The menu navigation is a little clunky but it did the job! I should have got the next model up to gain the OBD functionality because one of my old sensors was completely dead (I just copied the sensors from my summer tires instead). If you don't have 2 sets of wheels like me then think about stepping up to the next model with OBD access.

Instructions are easy to follow, updating it was straight forward. Still working perfectly, does the job really well. Comes in a nice hard shell case. Great tool to have around.

Muy bien el equipo, ha funcionado sin ningún problema tanto en la parte de probar sensores como en la parte de progración tanto manual como automática.

I bought this in order to reset the TPMS readings in my 2016 Lexus RC 300 after switching to summer wheels and tires. The problem is that I needed a device that could do OBD Relearn, and this one cannot. The literature says something about it being able to do a "Copy Relearn" but I wasn't able to figure out what that was or how to do it. In my case, I had to return it; the device I need is the TS501 which can do the OBD Relearn (and is of course even a little more expensive...). Here are my star ratings and why:Tech Support - 3 stars: Their website is clunky and hard to navigate, especially if not dealing with their more recent and expensive products. I was able to finally find a page where I could input my car info and device info to see if it would work, but all it said is that it worked using "Copy Relearn" with no info on how that is done.Easy To Use - 4 stars: It isn't the most intuitive interface, but it is easy to figure it out through playing with the various settings and trial and error.Value for money - 2 stars: I just can't bring myself to agree that a tool whose only purpose is reading and setting TPMS sensors should ever be this expensive.Overall - 3 stars.

First thing to note, if you are doing this on a Honda, you need the Honda HDS software with an interface device (can be purchased separately) to do a TPMS reset with this device. HDS gives you a dealer level diagnostics and is very powerful and useful. You can purchase a more expensive Autel unit to do the relearn without OBD, but I’d strongly suggest for Hondas to purchase the HDS HIM and this unit instead.I used HDS to begin the relearn and this device triggered up all the OEM sensors without issues. I tried a few generic ones with no success. The product is pricy, but if you are swapping wheels twice a year on multiple vehicles (dealer quoted me $125! Mechanic quoted me $30) it quickly pays for itself.I really like the Autel because it it has a display that allows you to select the vehicle, and it has software updates to ensure the device works with newer models as they arrive. Generic ones only work on a few manufactures from a certain year period, so they may becomes useless if you get a new car.

This tool was a money saver. I purchased 4 autelMy sensors . Had no idea that I would need this programmer. The shops I went to refused to program these sensors. I was advised I could purchase their sensors for $180 a piece. Mind you I own a 2017 GMC Canyon slt diesel. Every where I went wanted more and more money. It’s sickening to think that these prices are made up. Not only that . If I did spend the $180/ tire it wouldn’t be an oem sensors . It would’ve been a third day party aftermarket sensor . Price gouging in effect. So I found this tool. Most people so understand that after market sensors need to be programmed. First I used the ts408 to copy the old sensors. If your doing this yourself . Do not let the shop take your old wheels/tires. For me the new tires were already on the truck. My old wheels and tires were in the garage. So I deflated all 4 tires to 10lbs. Walked around the truck scanned each sensor bamn programmed . Next would be the relearn process. However there are a few ways to do this. Since my truck is newer all I had to do was turn the truck on and the tpms system did everything else. I hope this helps. Copy old sensors with scanner , scan new sensors either before they are installed or after doesn’t matter . Make sure you mark the wheels and sensors so you know where they belong upon installing. The ts408 is a great tool. Super easy. Note: sensors do go to sleep. It is highly recommended that you deflate tires to 10lbs. Most people can’t figure out how to get the sensor to read. Some people say let 10 seconds or air out. If your installing new wheels and and meaty all terrain tires. That won’t be enough. The sensor programmed the second it hit 10lbs on que.I hope this helps. Note : as for copying old sensors it doesn’t matter the brand name. It will copy a lot of different oem / aftermarket sensors. it will only program clone your autel mx sensors. “Copy old sensors / program new sensors”

Bought in part due to free lifetime updates, but accessing anything to do with updates for this device doesn't seem to work. The TPMS tool works as expected, and at present, I don't require any updates for the vehicles I've worked on. Not sure if the Autel website will have updates for this tool in future years.
