As i needed a new thermostat for my jag, I bought several before taking it apart and seeing what it looked like. This on fit and ended a lot of frushtration. I guess my Jag is not the base model as i assumed. So, if you have the XJ8 4.2 there are at lease three different thermostats for this car. "Dont be an ASSUMER".
