My daughter's bike dropped and the plastic brake caliper broke. This was an upgrade and went on without any problems in 5 minutes. The base and clamp is metal and much better than the original.

The brake handle worked OK. The clamp was a little shorter than my original one. That left a gap between my grip shifter and the brake clamp. If you don't have a grip shifter, it should snug right up. A little tip removing and reinstalling: I used a blade screwdriver and slid it around the inside of the grip to loosen it. When installing the grip, coat the bar or inside of grip with a little dish soap and it will slide right on. Once the soap dries, the grip will adhere to the handlebar. Don't use any petroleum lube or oil. It will rot the rubber.
