This little item is essential for any guitar player. I use it a lot on all of my guitars and electric bass guitars. It helps you to cut the technical work down and eliminate the guess work when it comes to adjusting your action gauge and neck adjustment like the pros. I keep it in my guitar tool box. And I have used it many times to get the best action on the guitar neck. It is a great little investment and a valuable tool for any guitar workshop. On any level.

I got this because it was cheap. They are accurate and functional. But definitely for amateurs.

I saw in the comments below that the scale is inaccurate. I checked with several rulers, and everything matches.

Never had these scales before as I simply used a ruler or the thickness of the different coins. Online You Tube See Dave's World Of Fun Stuff. He will show you how to.. Great guy and a long time bass player also He will let you know how these things work and how to tune them. A must have if you play guitar or bass and want to keep it in good adjustments .

The ruler gauge is a very useful tool for not just setting up a guitar but has other uses as well. It’s well built but is obviously punched out of a sheet of metal. I say this because the entire perimeter/edges are very sharp and you will need to use a really fine grained file or sandpaper to smooth the edges. If you run your fingernail across the surface of the printing, it definitely feels laser etched. So I think the ink wearing off will not be an issue. Also, the ink printing is very fine and well done. I’m not sure what the plastic card is used for or how to use it, there were no instructions. This product is definitely worth the price.

Mostly good. Does what it should. The edges are a bit rough, though, and the markings are positioned just slightly off in relation to the edges. If you take the burr off the edges, it's workable though.

Good set of measures to keep at the bench, really a must have for any luthier, guitar enthusiast or builder/hobbyist. Only gripe is the rough edges, wish this had been deburred before shipping. Definitely need to get rid of the rough edges of you're using this on a finish you want to be careful with.
