I have ten aquariums and needed a stand for another . . . yeah. For the price I expected this to be a short-term stand, but I was mistaken. It came expertly packaged with all the pieces bubble wrapped and the hardware in a ziplock bag taped to the pieces. Even though the box was damaged, the pieces inside were completely undamaged. There weren't even any scratches to the metal.Assembly was a breeze. The screws were already in the cross bars to there were no issues with messed up holes like I've had in the past with other stands.Side note - the metal is black, not silver as shown in the listing photo, which is nicer! The only thing I would change is that there are no holes drilled into the wood. This makes screwing it together a challenge, since it is screwed from the bottom. I used a small bit to put a pilot hole in.The directions are just pictures but the assembly is obvious enough I didn't even reference them until it was time to write this review.

So, I have a 24"x18"x12" tank that I use for my frogs, and this stand is perfect! My tank fits almost edge to edge, and has lower shelf for my overflow and sump-filter tank. It's strong enough to hold all that water with no issues, and it looks great doing it. Was glad to receive, as most basic shelves will NOT hold a tank and all that water without breaking or a least drooping, but this has no such issues .. love it!

Setting up this tank stand for my 20-gallon aquarium was easy, making it a great addition to my home office. The durable metal and wooden construction make it both sturdy and moisture-resistant, giving me confidence that it will last a long time. The adjustable feet are a thoughtful feature, ensuring maximum stability and preventing shaking, so my fish can swim around peacefully without any disturbances. The three-tier design is handy. It perfectly supports my aquarium, and the additional shelves have provided much-needed storage space for my aquarium supplies. I've also used it to display some decorative items and books, which has helped keep my home office organized and neat. It's nice to have a multi-functional piece that serves both practical and aesthetic purposes. You can also use this as a stand for other things like your decorations, printers, etc. Just make sure to check the weight requirements. It would have been nice if they could have been offered in more colour options to match different décor styles. However, the modern design, with its powder-coated black steel and vintage wood desktop, looks great with my existing furniture. Overall, this tank stand has been a fantastic choice for my aquarium, providing a stable and stylish setup that enhances my space.

This is a pretty good stand, it looks good and seems to be built from quality materials. It has been supporting a 23 gallon tank on its top shelf for about a month now and does appear to be stable and strong. I have noticed a slight bend in the top wood panel, and I think the structure could benefit from having another metal beam run along the bottom of the middle of each wood panel. The only place that I can find to deduct points is the assembly. This most definitely needs 2 people and could benefit from a powerful drill (I used an electric power drill). Having to screw in each shelf from the bottom is not an easy task, and might be one of the worst design choices I have ever seen. For this, I have deducted some points.Overall, I would recommend this as an aquarium stand, provided that you can handle the assembly.

I know this is supposed to be used for a fish tank, but I am just using it as a shelf I figured it would be sturdy enough since it can hold a large fish tank, with gallons of water. So it would be strong enough for whatever I decided to put on it. It was simple to put together, and it was very nice looking. A great addition to the living room. This Black Fish Tank Stand for 20 Gallon Aquarium, Metal Aquarium Stand with 3-Tier Shelves, is an excellent shelving unit.

This is a fish tank stand, but it would also make a great equipment rack for a HIFI or Home Theatre enthusiast. It's extra bracing makes it very stiff and well planted on the floor. The shelves themselves have a very realistic wood look and this company also makes floating shelves that match. I have a couple of those as well. If you're in need of a sturdy shelf for heavier objects, even non-aquarium related give this one a shot. I think you'll be happy if you do.

I'm not taking off any stars because I needed to assemble this myself but it took me a very long time to put this together solo.Thankfully, I have an electric drill/screwdriver and while I did not take the time to drill holes for the screws, my screwdriver did a decent job of punching through the solid hard wood to secure the slabs to the metal frame.I ended up with a very solid, sturdy, surprisingly deep 3 shelf unit,The metal parts of the shelving don't take away from the rich look of the wood shelves.I do always worry about scratching my oak laminate flooring and the smooth bottomed plastic feet made this shelf both easy to slide across the floor and protected my floor from scratches too.I'm currently storing heavy cast iron pans and big kitchen applicances on this shelf while waiting for my fish and aquarium to arrive. It looks so nice as a shelving unit that I'm considering getting an extra one due to the surprisingly useful depth on the wooden shelves.ASSEMBLY TIP: I found the best way to attach the shelves was to stand the metal unit on it's side.I then threaded the screws in by hand until they popped out of the hole and then used the electric screwdriver to drive it into the wood.

I recently purchased an aquarium shelf from Amazon and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! The shelf is incredibly strong and made of high-quality materials. It was also very easy to set up, which made the whole process smooth and hassle-free. I highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a sturdy and reliable aquarium shelf. Excellent quality and great value for the price!

I agree with another reviewer, whoever packaged this product deserves a raise. This shelf was packaged better than anything else I've encountered. There was definitely no slipping and sliding inside the box. The bubble wrap, plastic corner protectors and tape made this one solid mass. I think half of my assembly time was spend just getting all the protection off. That is not a complaint, it ensured that everything in the box was in excellent condition.Assembly of the metal stand was quite easy. The assembly instructions is just set of pictures showing the steps. The fact that the bolts for the shelf supports were already partially screwed into the support bars was a minor annoyance, but at least they were all there and easy enough to remove. The included allen wrench for tightening these bolts was nice. Like most assemble-it-youself items the wrench is not of great quality, but plenty good enough for the assembly and then tossed in the trash. Everything went together easily. I didn't fully tighten the shelf legs to the shelf bars until the whole stand was assembled and the shelves attached. The shelves themselves appear to be particle board with a wood grained plastic skin. I'm not a big fan of particle board because once it gets wet all bets are off on its durability. Hopefully the plastic skin will prevent any problems as long as any water contact is wiped off reasonably quickly. The particle board shelves are laid across the metal shelf bars and secured with four provided screws. Another reason to leave the shelf bars not fully tightened is to make sure the holes for these screws are in the vertical axis. I centered the shelf across the support bars and between the legs then applied a clamp to hold it in place. I then carefully drilled pilot holes for the screws since the shelves were not predrilled. Once all four screws were securely in place I tightened the four bolts securing the shelf bars to the legs. Repeat for the remaining two shelves. The screw holes in the self bars are not counter sunk for the screws so when assembled the screw heads extend just under an eighth of an inch below the shelf bar.The only remaining step is to attach the four foot pads. All four are adjustable so it is easy to get this stand nice and level. It's super nice not to have to resort to shims.Overall I am pretty pleased with this stand. I'm glad I purchased the three tier version because I think having the third shelf adds to the stability of the stand. Yes, you can force it to wobble a tiny bit but you shouldn't be trying to slide it across the floor with a full aquarium on top. I have had a 20 gallon tall, full of water and appropriate substrate sitting on it for a week as of this review with no problems.I did deduct 1 star from my overall rating because there is no diagonal bracing along the long side, and the particle board shelves.

Arrived extremely well packaged - tightly bound and well wrapped in bubble wrap.Looks exacy like pictures when constructed and very sturdy. The steel frame is strong and the paint was perfect. The shelves did have very two minor perfections on the corner but nothing you would notice on a day to day basis.Putting it together was more difficult than it needed to be. Putting the frame together was easy, attaching the shelves was not. Why in the heck wouldn't they pre-drill the screw holes on the shelves????? It was difficult as heck to install the middle and bottom shelf and get them on straight.TIP: I found it best to put the screws in with the tips pointing out and put the shelf on tap it into the screws with a rubber mallet, flip the unit on its side to screw into the divots made in previous step.Overall, I do recommend this very sturdy shelf....I really hope they pre-drill holes in the future.

I love that the little legs at the bottom can be adjusted. Our house is not even at all so that is very helpful for leveling. Great so far

Good size stand for the price if your not looking to spend hundreds of dollars. Good starter stand. Fit my 20 gallon high tank just right. Don't recommend for any tanks bigger than a 20 gallon. Like the design of the shelves and its pretty sturdy.
