ここ数年、全曲通して聴ける様なアルバムには出会っていなかったが、スタンダードやカバー等、選曲が素晴らしい。勿論アレンジも良。セルフカバーのFunky Music(Johnny Winter And収録)には、思わずニヤリとさせられましたね。

A good album to listen to right through. A few standout moments to grab the attention but works well as a background noise.Time flies so still think of this as a recent release. Prefer it to Rick's last, which had the great Sometimes and If 6 Were 9 but the rest was not as enjoyable as Deluxe.More please Mr Derringer.

Saw Rick live in orange county this year and he's like a little kid on xmas morning when playing the guitar. His band loves playing his hits and the blues as much as he does.this cd is full of blues standards and self written songs.If you love the blues,you'll love this cd.

This man is such an expert at playing the blues. I've been into Rick right from the start. I guess i was so lucky that the record companies in Australia back in Ricks early days carried his offerings.I have everything he's put out. and I'm always looking forward to his new releases.I find being a security guard and doing long 12 hour shifts at night sitting in my vehicle, I can bring along his cds and listen to some great music.John - Newcastle - Australia

突然、リック・デリンジャーの消息が気になって調べ出す。僕の記憶に残っているのはシンディ・ローパーのパリのライブのビデオまで。本人のＨＰを見てみると結構好き勝手に（売れるかどうかは気にしていないみたい）レコード（ＣＤ）を出している。この人はブルースからロックンロールまで何でも気に入ったものをこなすという感じでカントリー色があんまりないのも僕は気に入ってます。自分の声ですんなりと歌っているのが好感が持てます。よく聞いていたらリックはギター上手ですよ。それに特筆すべきは選曲の良さというかそのこだわり方がいいんですね。まるでクラプトンになりたかったかのような選曲です。さらにフリートウッドマックのダニー・カーワァンの作品も入ってますし、その昔エレクトリック・フラッグ時代にマイケル・ブルームフィールドがギターを弾きまくったキリング・フロアも入っています。その時代が好きな人にはたまらない選曲です。

This Cd has Rick Derringer pounding the pavement with blues again and it can get a lil annoying.There are a few real winners here like:Hide Away 1962,Something Inside Of Me and Checkin Up On My Baby but the rest of the CD fails to impress.

A great choice of covers and awesome versions by a great guitarist that sounds as if he understands the blues.DERRINGER doesn't mess with the basic formula, instead he lets his outstanding guitar work do the talking. DERRINGER plays with total control and almost flawless technique. He could have spoiled it by including pyrotechnics alien to the blues ( I am sure he could be as showy as the next axe slinger ), but refrains and keeps everything tastefull and fairly true to the best of the originals. ( not many can play as well as he can ). It must be said that his vocals are OK, but no more than that. His choice of material is mostly brilliant, but a couple of tracks are questionable ( RUNNIN BLUE / FUNKY MUSIC / STILL ALIVE AND WELL ).However KEY TO THE HIGHWAY / BLUES DELUXE / KILLING FLOOR and HIDE AWAY 1962 are worth the price alone. This is on par with the best blues offerings from GARY MOORE and should be added to your collection of outstanding electric blues masters.
