Amazon.ca Product Description

Bondhus Hex End Socket Bits fit any standard six point socket and are suitable for use with impact sockets. Chamfered tool tips eliminate burrs and help tools seat in screw head. The sharp corners transfer more torque to the screw and reduce stripping.

From the Manufacturer

Bondhus ProHold Socket Bit sets are designed to be strong and to save time and money. ProHold technology is non-magnetic and holds the hex bit securely in the socket - no roll pins or set screws are needed. Bits snap into any 6 point socket providing quick bit replacement. Manufactured with Bondhus' exclusive Protanium steel and finished with it's proprietary ProGuard corrosion resistant finish. ProHold bits can be purchased separately and used with any 6 point socket, or they can be purchased in combination with sockets.

What you get in the set.. 9 sockets, sizes 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 10mm on 3/8" drive sockets. 12mm, 14mm, and 17mm on 1/2" drive sockets. The hex bits are made in the USA, but the socket part that they are in is probably made in china of cheap quality metal. What you do not get. No socket rails or anything to put them on. My thoughts on this are.. It is a rail.. a two dollar part is not going to break me to buy it separately. and when you consider that a lot of people will not even care about the rail, because they will be put in tool boxes and stuff, with organizers in there, then not having an accessory with the sockets that only part of the people buying them will use is no big deal to me.What I think about the sockets and bits.. I have used this brand before. I have a set of SAE in them too, but those are on my own sockets, not from the company. From using those, I have found that the hex bits are of good quality. So far for me, they have held up pretty good. I have not had to replace any of them yet.The sockets are a different story. I saw people complain that they were not made in the USA, only the bits were, etc.. I personally prefer made in the USA, but quality is my top priority.. As long as it holds up then I am happy, no matter where it is made. With that being said, I am very disappointed in these sockets. While I have not used them yet, I can tell just by feel that they feel like some of the cheapest made sockets. If I had to tell what I thought by price, if the hex bits were the same quality as the sockets from what I have seen to far, I would not have paid more then 10 dollars for the set.. Yea, the sockets feel that cheap. Not only that, but just look at the pictures.. The 4mm bit going in the socket does not even sit all the way down.. I would guess that it needs to go about 4mm farther in to fully seat in the socket properly. I tried pounding it with a hammer to get it to go in more.. But to no avail.. My guess is no quality control on these sockets. So when people complain about the sockets, they are not just whining about them.. They have a real complaint about how cheap they are.My final thoughts.. I would give the hex bits 10 stars.. I would give the sockets 2 stars. If you have regular 6 point sockets to put these in, I would recommend buying just the bits separately and doing that, or buying decent sockets to put them in from the start. These are not worth the extra price for the sockets vs the hex bits alone.

Bondhus hex bits are true to size put calipers on a 5mm hex you read 5mm. This is not the case with the vast majority of hex bits manufactured. Its good because you're less likely to strip out a fastener if torqued on tight. The sockets are kind of cheap but the bit is made in the USA and will last a long time. If you break the smaller bits you simply punch out the old and hammer a new one in.

US made hex bit, but sockets are likely Chinese. There is no country of origin stamp on the socket itself.Pretty disappointing considering they’re priced at very nearly the same as a Proto set. In hind sight, I would’ve gotten the Protos.

First I love Bonus allens, I have about 10 different sets. This one was disappointing in one way, no rail was included. I was able to combine some Snap-On socket rail parts into a nice rail, but I shouldn't have to do that on a quality set.

Wow I love these. After receiving I went out to my garage and pulled a few of them out and started sticking them in holes in my motorcycle and mountain bike and you can tell the tolerance to size is near perfect. They were consistently a very tight fit and the edges are not sharp like a knife, but certainly sharper than other hex keys I've had. You have to pull really hard to get the hex out of the socket. Each hex has two little round sticky things that help keep it in place. Bonus is that you can remove the hex and use the socket in case you've misplaced your normal socket.
