I bought these rod holders for trolling, I was out on Thursday and when a fish hit, the rod holder snapped off. We were fishing in Lake Ontario so it could have been a salmon that hit. Either way it would be nice if it didn’t break & we landed the fish, rather than my rod, reel, snubber, flasher, dipsy, & spoon ended up in 192’ of water.

Be careful when you go to move it the whole thing detached from the mount. If your rod is in it. It will be in the bottom of the lake.

These rocket launcher style rod holders are the best aroundb.. I troll 18 and 36lb leadcore with planer boards no problem. I have 8 of them on myBoat currently
