I orderd this a week ago and at the same time I orderd the other one (there's 2 options) the other one I orderd last Friday came in 2 days later (on Sunday) and it was in perfect condition and even though it wasn't the exact carb for my model snowblower the intake hook up was the same and it had all the same bolt and screw holes. I live in cape Breton and we just got 150cm of snow 11 days and than we just got another 40cm 2 days ago so I installed the other one just to get my blower going and it has 2 spots to control the flow of gas so I was able to fine tune it to act like the original carb. Anyways I have a ride on mower that has the same engine as my blower so I was going to use this carb on that because the end of the summer she was stalling and loosing power just like my blower just did. Anyways when this one came in SEVEN days after I orderd it.... not 2 days like it's supposed and why we pay for prime to get that 2 day delivery it is defective. Top right and middle left where rhe gasket goes it has notches taken out of it... either this passed through because of poor quality control or someone returned it after damaging it and they sent it out again. I know the gasket is going to stop any leaks but it's not the point.. when you buy anything brand new it should be flawless.. no issues no blemishes... so do not order this item endless you don't care if it's broken when it gets to you

This fit my 1985 8 h/p Tecumseh 4 stroke snowblower engine perfectly. As others mentioned the screw holding a bracket to carburetor were not threaded. Used 2 #8, 1/2 inch self drilling metal screws with lock washers. Fit perfect. Other than that no other adjustments. Fired right up. Old one was leaking. This saved rebuild. It has a gas drain in bowl which some did not. You need to drain the gas for storage.

Showed up super fast. Was the exact fit. Only small issue I had was the pilot jet was screwed all the way shut so the motor would not start at first. This took a couple quick mins of diagnosing and the motor fired up great. Much easier than a carb rebuild.

Old snowblower is running thanks to this. New carb, new spark plug, new fuel+line. Took an hour to clean the old carb but just didn’t work properly. Buy new when there this cost effective!
