These nipples are decent quality. The tapered thread makes it easy to install into the provided PVC Tees. The Tees have 1/8 threaded holes and two 1/2 inch slip fittings on the end. The PVC pipes are similar to schedule 40 quality, but not labeled and therefore not certified to schedule 40 standards. For low pressure chicken water lines they are perfectly fine. These have spring loaded tips, so the chickens need a bit of training. It took about 30 minutes of manually flicking the nipple in front of some thirsty chickens for one of them to figure it out. Once one gets it, they all learn pretty quickly. Much more reliable than the drinking "cups" and cleaner, once you put in the effort.
