Reliable, rezistant, Columbia pants are my faves for summer convertible pants. To note though that the ones i bought in store (SAIL) are better quality of fabric , it makes you sweat less, is more friendly to the skin. This one is the raspier kind.

The pants look and feel good! Great for the hot weather, (in which I am required to wear long pants at work (but would like to wear short before and after). Came with fabric belt (plastic buckle) too!I bought the 30" one - the waist measures about 29" (or sliiiightly bigger). This worked out perfectly for me because I am exactly 29". However if you're used to the say Levi's sizing, you may need to size up ...

I purchased 2 pairs of these pants for travelling 5+ years ago and found the ability to wear them as shorts or longer pants to be convenient. They held up very well on my travels and periodic use since then but the stitching on one of the pairs has started to come undone. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Amazon had these with some colours at a better price than what I paid years ago. The light nylon material appears to be of the same quality as my previous pairs but the mesh material used for the main front and back pockets is of inferior quality and I think they'll wear out over time especially if you place things like keys in your pockets. There used to be "right" and "left" tags attached to the zipper pulls to make it easier to figure out how to re-attach the bottoms of the pants once unzipped. These tags are no longer there. The manufacturer also has "omni-shade" printed on bottom of one of the pant legs which is like me having an unwanted tattoo. Hopefully, this will come off with repeated washings. Apart from that, if these pants last as long as my other pairs, I'll be satisfied with the purchase.

These pants fitted really well. Nice and light, they dry really quick. I used these for doing work around the pool/ pressure washing. Pretty easy to convert to shorts. The zips are great. I would order again come springtime :)

Overall very nice pants.I wear a 34" waist pants and got these in 34". I was surprised that I had to stretch the elastic waist quite a bit. So I measured, and it is actually a 32" waist that stretches to 34". They are not uncomfortable when stretched like that but you need to be aware of that when ordering. Also worth noting is that the front and back pockets are mesh liner instead of a cloth pocket liner. The cargo pockets are solid cloth. It is just the main front and back pockets that are mesh.Otherwise, nice pants the fit like a pair of pant should.

I do a lot of camping and canoeing and these are my go-to camping pants. I'm tall and slim and it can be hard to find something that fits well. These are just right. The fit is great and they feel very comfortable. There is good attention to detail, such as articulated knees, handy pockets and good tight stitching. They are plenty rugged enough for sitting around on the rocky Canadian Shield but good looking enough for casual wear back home. This is the second pair I've bought. I was happy to see they improved the nylon belt. It used to be made from soft, slippery nylon so that the belt would constantly get loose. Now they use a rougher, stiffer belt material. I definitely recommend this product.

Very lightweight and comfortable. But once you take the bottom legs off you can't put them back on again. I have 6 pairs and one none of them would the zippers work properly in order to enable putting the bottom legs back on.

Amazing pants for travelling, lightweight and comfortable. I wish the belt loops were a bit bigger, your belt choice is limited due to how small they are. 2 of the exterior pocket stitches failed, resulting in me losing a few things. I was able to have them repaired locally for 10-15$, but even when I sent the receipt in to Columbia, they never paid. (they'll reimburse up to 35$, and you have to waste a lot of time sending photos, and calling/replying to get this)They need to stand by their product more. I may consider buying Columbia in the future, but I'll probably look at other outdoor brands and research my purchases better in the future.

Been using these on 7 days of hiking so far.Fit:Fits somewhat small around. I first ordered a 32W but changed to a 34W. I usually need a belt with 34W pants, but this one holds well without. I will use the provided belt while hiking to keep the pants on my waist. If you got big thighs (from hiking), it's a bit snug. However, it slides up the leg smoothly so I'm not worried about mobility. The inseam is high so it's a close fit in the groin (it actually supports the package a bit). It also rides pretty tight between the buttocks and separates them clearly when you crouch. But the lightness of the material means it doesn't feel tight, and is very comfortable.Use:The pockets are well placed and secure which is a big plus for me. They don't feel bulky or affect the shape of the pants when empty. The convertible zippers are easy to operate. The bottom of the pant fits over my shoes so I can remove it really fast.I picked the Fossil Color (no other was available in my size) and it gets really dirty on hikes. However, I was surprised at how well it cleaned afterwards.
