I bought cause it said 11" inseam. I am a size 34 pants and like my shorts a little bigger(35) so went with a large and fits perrrfect. The elastic probably can stretch about 2-3inches but I don't like too much streatch. Definitely not 7" seam. I do like it... formal, gentleman type shorts and very nice fabric.
