Game changer for me as I can now get close to the bank without the worry of knocking the rod off the rest. Usefully adjusts to the angles required and very sturdy.

Like the double ground insert which secures the rods from turning left or right. Like how you can secure the angle of the rods up or down. Like how the rods are secured in the holder.

No more hunting around for a suitable stick to lean my rod against. It’s a bit low to the ground but if that is not a problem for you that they are a fine rod holder.

I like that its made from metal and not plastic. What i dont like is that the bottom neck you cant adjust the rod to be high or low

Hubby said they work great. Took a min to get it set up right. But once done it worked perfect. No he sadly didn’t catch a fish but there is always next time.

This thing is awesome, I love it.It is really well build, the spikes are real steel.It has the option of taking the rod holder part off so you can pound the spikes into the ground, which I found VERY heipful because the ground where I was fishing was hardAnd for the price I got two, what a deal

Absolutely no complaints about how strong these are made. But the tilt adjustment is terrible. As shown in the photo they can go up a bit or down a bit, but they cannot hold the rod with the tip at a high angle (like most people do when shore fishing). Not really sure how I am going to modify them to make them actually work for shore fishing, but they are a good starting point I guess.

This is my honest, just delivered, straight out of the box impression. Without trying these babies out on a fishing trip my first impression is that these are of excellent quality. When I came across these ground spike rod holders I liked the design but was concerned that the top portion where the pole rests was going to be plastic but it is not. With the exception of the plastic side screw that holds the ground spike and the rod holder together, the rest of it is made of a heavy duty metal. For the price point (and getting a pair of rod holders and not just one) the quality is impressive. I gave 4 stars since I have not tried them out yet but I will update my review after I have taken them out.UPDATE:: I took these out this afternoon to test them out and my rating has gone from a 4 star to a 5 star. They performed well, were exactlyWhat I imagined, and was super easy to adjust them as I needed too (both the angle and the direction). HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I was going to purchase a rigging for ground fishing that would have cost me around $150 but then I found these. I feel they are comparable and so much more affordable!

These rod holders are great. For fishing offshore I put them in rocks, dirt, water, and even on wharfs. They work great and have been priceless for me. Keeps the rods off the ground and a great for putting rod when you have a fish on the line. I would recommend to anyone.
