This product is not suitable for small dogs. It was very hard, and my dog had difficulty chewing it. A few hours later, my dog vomited and experienced diarrhea.Update: It triggered my dog’s IBD, which ended up in a $600 vet bill and a week-long illness. She’s still recovering from this incident.

Definitely different from the first few packages purchased which contained pliable yet still crunchy enough to clean the tartar from teeth. The last few packages purchased contained some still pliable but mostly 'sticks' that were as hard as rocks! My poor dog broke a tooth on one of these. Opened a new bag and the same poor quality control... a few pliable but mostly hard as rocks. I threw the third unopened bag away.

J aime beaucoup ce produit qui est rugueux et donc nettoye les dents de mon chien. Mon chien les mange facilement

My little maltipoo couldn’t figure out what to do with these. I think they were too hard for her. Probably best for bigger dogs who aren’t delicate princesses! 😉

My dog really enjoys this product but I also give it to him for teeth cleaning properties. It is hard to tell if it is effective for that. Certainly an innovative use of oyster shells! My dog likes the flavour and size... I often break the product in half as a treat.

Both my dogs really enjoy these chews. They fit into our kong bone toys, which is an excellent way to help them last a bit longer and make sure the pups don't swallow a large chunk at the end. I've already repurchased a couple times!

I bought these because of the healthy ingredients. Twice my dog ate the stick so fast he vomited. Perhaps because it crumbles and doesn't last. Disappointed.

My dog is a foodie, and at first he would eat these like any other treat. But over time he has become bored of them. But he will nibble on it occasionally and one lasts him a few days compared to when I first bought them and one lasted a few minutes. But these are way better for him than greenies or most other commercial "dental" treats. So I will continue buying them.

My 13 year old, 13lb Pomeranian mix eats almost EVERYTHING. He’s like a vacuum, from veggies to Cheerios, he eats it all!! He has to be on scheduled meals or he’ll eat until he pukes. He’s definitely not a “grazer” and it probably has something to do with being in/out of shelters since 2014, poor guy.But he doesn’t like these Crump’s chews at all. He’s a rescue so I’m not sure if it’s the texture, hardness or taste. He had a full dental with extractions and is all healed up so I’m not sure why he refuses these. He typically finishes treats like this in a couple minutes tops. But he lets his Crump chew stick lay around even when he’s hungry :/He even played fetch with it when I first gave him a stick!! I’ve just thrown away the 2 I’ve given him since they break into sharp pieces and I found out by stepping on one.I really wish he liked these because *I love that they have finely crushed oyster shells in them*. Dogs don’t need fluoride etc, they need manual brushing in between regular dentals and these seem awesome for adding to that. At age 13 and a grade 4 heart murmur, I think he’s had his last dental last September. All his rotten teeth were removed and his periodontal disease is now gone :)I’m going to try a different flavor but Roro’s fave flavor (after peanut butter) is chicken and it’s never in stock. I’ll try the bacon flavor and if he still refuses, then it must be either painful for him to chew or the base must just taste really awful to him. I suspect the former tho since he won’t even eat them if I dip them in reduced fat creamy peanut butter :(He looks forward to his “dessert” choice of raw carrots, yam chews, apple slices, bully sticks (I buy a different brand of organic collagen sticks vs bully brand since they stink so bad), Whimzee sticks, etc after each meal. But since adopting him November 2021 this is the only chew treat he’s refused. And he even loves green peas which none of my previous dogs liked- they’d always either roll them out of the bowl or leave them behind. Will update if he likes the bacon flavor. But for now I’m disappointed and worry they might be very uncomfortable for him to chew :(Value seems good tho since he’s only 13lbs and I can break the sticks in half for him (he also has IBS so everything’s in tight moderation for him). So he’d get double the chews and the price is comparable to other high quality, organic dog chews out there :)
