The line of ball mounts is robotically welded to ensure accurate, consistent cuts and clean, strong weld lines. Once welded, these mounts undergo a process that creates a flawless surface for the application of highly durable CURT powder coat finish. Class II Ball Mounts are for 1 ¼” x 1 ¼” receiver tubes and are rated at 3,500 lb. gross tow weights.

The bar is a SOLID piece of steel, not hollow.The enamel paint is slightly thick, and required me to use some sand paper to slide it into a new / uninstalled receiver. I did not have to sand down the metal.This arrived in a used box, so I suspect that this was sold to someone else and they could not get it to fit, so they returned it to Amazon who then resold it to me. It arrived in NEW and un-used condition.I am giving this a 4 star ONLY because I had to sand the paint down for it to fit. I do have another new bar and it fits into the receiver correctly. When I measure this, it measures slightly larger than spec (about the thickness of a piece of paper)

Disappointed in the condition of this ball mount. Supposed to be brand new? It is chipped in 3 places which will cause rust. I have contacted the seller to request at least a partial refund or replacement product. Will update this review accordingly.
