I'm using this with an Aquarium Coop light that it's not really meant for. The original mounting bars are a similar size, so it seems to fit ok. I can easily see that over tightening the screws in the plastic would cause cracking, but if you're careful, it works great.

It may not seem like much, but if your tank light (LED style) is the right style, this makes is so much better. It uses the existing holes to attach it like normal, but able to raise or lower it to your preferences, and all while looking great. The usual brackets just have it rest across the top of the tank, at tank level, which makes it hard to reach in the tank, and does nothing for floating plants, as it's too close. This allows me to set the height I prefer, and keeps everything properly lit.

Works great for easily access inside your tank, raising a light over an water elevator or for fitting a light that is 1 size too big on a tank. I use it for all of that. I put a 24" light on a 20" tank using these too.

I got this for my nicrew light so I was worried it wouldn’t fit because this is listed as only for chihiros. It worked, I just put the metal part in at an angle so it’s like a V shape. Works great! You can adjust it so the hight is whatever you like. Only works on a rimless tank though so be aware of that.
