Operating Instruction:
1.Turn on the thermometer by pressing the button.
2.The thermometer will beep, after sound is stop, meaning the unit is now ready to use.
3.Insert the Probe tip into the animal.
4.With 6 seconds if the temperature is steady, the thermometer will beep and display the temperature reading.
5.After 2 minute non-operated it will shut off automatically.
6.Shut off automatically after 10 minutes without any operation.

If you are debating getting this .. just don't. It sucks and says my dogs temperature is 35°C. Which is too low for dogs. This is in the summer heat. The other day is said 32°C. Also batteries died after 3x using it. Worst purchase ever. . .

Not very accurate. I believe it's off by 2 or 3 degrees . Takes a long time for reading. Tested on 3 dogs. Very difficult to get a dog to sit still that long.

I had to return it because it was too big for what I needed. I have small 7 lbs dogs. I would not recommend to buy for small dogs or cats. It is much bigger than what is described.

I used 2 3x for my dog, which ended up being a vet emergency (addison's disease and dog was in shock)And went to use on goat once and stopped working. Changed out 6 7 different batteries.Would of rather paid 5 bucks for cheap one or few to have spares versus 28 bucks for this..... feels cheap too. Not reliable.

The suspicious "new" batteries included with this didn't even let the thermometer turn on properly so I put in fresh batteries of my own and still the thermometer kept saying "Lo" (low batteries) and turning itself off immediately. The compartment to the battery also doesn't close flush with the device and the plastic sticks out.I would not rely on this sad thing to give any remotely reliable results. Definitely retuning for refund.

My puppy had a temperature and it was going up over two weeks. Brought this so I could keep a check on it, as well as my vets. It really works. I took his temperature just before a vets visit and it was the same as what vet took. It’s so easy to use and great value for money
