Bought to extend signal to outdoor wifi cameras. It does the job. Although because the signal is going through an exterior brick wall the signal drops off fast. Goes far enough for my application though. However the signal is seen throughout the entire interior of the house with no issues. But Like any signal going threw brick your experience may vary.I've had this device for 3+ Years with no issues.TIP: Find a Good signal from your modem first, place the device there to extend your wifi. If you place this device where there's already poor signal it will not connect or will just spread a bad signal around.

We were have issues with our Telus internet home network, the signal was not making it throughout the home. Bought this to solve the issue and it has worked perfectly. Simple to install following the directions and was pretty much plug and play. We now have a stable home network, when the Telus rural connection is up and running.

My main router (supplied by my cable company) is in my work room / home office located at the farthest corner on the top floor of the house. The master bedroom is about 30 meters away (100ft). A desktop computer (serving as a media player) connects via 5GHz and always detects a 100% signal. This is a perfectly adequate setup that allow me to stream content from my home server to the pc feeding my bedroom TV. However, when I'm in bed, my phone sometimes report an "unstable" signal despite seeing a -50 to -65dBm signal for both WIFI bands. Sometimes, connections would drop or lag in the middle of browsing. I am unable to run a wired connection to this room at the moment.I first set up the DAP-1325 as a repeater using the quick WPS method. This was fairly simple and straightforward. Simply follow the instructions on the box or on the paper manual and you are good to go.I then moved the DAP-1325 to an outlet inside a small walk-in closet in my bedroom. The outlet was high up (about 8ft from the floor) and about 10-15 ft from where I usually lay and sleep. I was able to connect to both 2.4G and 5G networks without any issues. Running the WIFI-scanner, signal seem to have improved a little and was now reporting -48 to -53dBm. The green signal bar on the unit was all lit (max) so this confirms that it is receiving more than adequate signal from the main router. I played around overnight and never got a disconnected nor an unstable connection warning. So far so good. I did not expect any additional speed but rather a more consistent connection - which was what a repeater is supposed to do.The ground floor of the house is a little bit more troublesome. I have a Cat6 cable drop to my main television and second media player PC in the living room. This area is directly under the main bedroom closet space so I was hoping to get a strong enough signal from the DAP directly above it. The best I could get was about -68 to -73dBm so it was practically useless and slow.I removed the DAP and reconfigured it as a wired extender. Since I have a wired switch right behind the main television, wiring the Dlink DAP via Cat5 was fairly simple. I just needed to somehow raise it higher than floor level (where most outlets are). I setup a extension power cord on a piece of 1x2. For the extender configuration I needed to use either the phone app (QRS mobile) or the Dlink AP local service. I setup a temporary SSID (to differentiate from the existing networks) so that I could check the reliability and stability of the network this DAP created. Signal strength within the living room is about -35dBM to -43dBm (which was excellent). I disabled cellular and all other networks from my phone and connected to the new SSID. So far this setup sends a good enough signal not only to the living room area but also the the dining area 100-120ft directly in front of the DAP. Again so far so good. The biggest question now is whether the new network would be strong enough to reach the bedroom above it. Since this connection is directly feeding off a wired network, I have no worries about internet connectivity (at least up to the AP). Fortunately, signal from the ground floor to my bedroom seems to be adequate. The new SSID is being received at about -55dBm (or better). While this is not really stronger than it was as a repeater, it kinda fixes my lack of WIFI in the living room while still providing a good enough signal for the bedroom even at only 54Mbps max (iphone gets about 48Mbps when held about an inch away from the DAP). This is still after all, the N300 version (which was the cheapest at under $25 when purchased), as opposed to the AC and AX versions of this extender. For security, set it to WPA2-only unless you really have older devices still on your network. Though not explicitly stated, this probably still has some TKIP but predominantly AES. It uses WPA2-personal so pre-shared keys (PSK) are used for authentication.Overall I am satisfied with the performance and maybe I will get the AC1200 version for additional coverage and speed.

The D-Link AC750 Mesh Wi-Fi Range Extender brought down my wi-fi. I did the recommended set-up three times thinking I had previously done something wrong and the same thing happened again and again. Initially, the D-Link AC750 Mesh Wi-Fi Range Extender worked fine and boosted my wi-fi signal as advertised. However, after its continuous operation for more than 8 hours, suddenly, I lost all my wi-fi connectivity. My wi-fi router status indicators were all OK. So, I unplugged the D-Link AC750 from the outlet and everything went back to normal with my wi-fi connectivity restored without the need of rebooting my router. Also, the D-Link Wi-Fi app has serious security vulnerabilities since your wi-fi passwords are not encrypted so making it easier for hackers to hijack your wi-fi. Do not waste your money with the D-Link AC750. Unfortunately, I found out about this problem only recently as I was waiting for my trip to Brazil to install it in my mother's home who lives there. Therefore, I passed the return window and cannot get a refund. This is a very bad product - I wasted my time and my money with it. Do not do the same.
