This is junk. Used on my 03 duramax. highly DO NOT recommend buying this product. Paid 140$ a month or two ago and took forever to show up because of covid, finally got around to installing the part (didn't fix my problem, but this was the problem) and drove for about 3 weeks chasing my original issues which All pointed to nsbu, replaced other pointless parts and it ended up being this junk Dorman nsbu faulty right out of the package from Amazon. Do not recommend. Stay away!

worked good for my duramax lb7 this nsbu has upgraded seals and lasts longer than the black ones or dark brown ones, i heard you can use the cheap ones on the duramax as well.

Item has a small crack on arrival and doesn't usually show what gear the truck is in unless it is in drive or park. It shifts fine otherwise but doesn't show the indicator position.

Worked perfect in my 2000 silverado 2500hd 8.1L 2wd on my allison 1000 transmission. The little tool to hold the shifter in place on the sensor helped out getting it installed correctly the first time. I had to use the pigtails and that is why I bought this model and was able to solder them to my factory wires since the original plugs failed and broke into pieces when removing them.

Installed easily, works perfectly. Ordered this unit over the others available because it had the 2 replacement pigtails just in case one broke when I was removing it. When removing the two electrical plugs I had heard that they were hard to remove and others described them as being glued in. I found that it was almost like a very thick liquid silicone that coated them. I used a narrow stiff putty knife to very very slowly back out the plugs and did no damage to them. Heard later someone had said to use a heat gun to warm up the electrical gang plugs to soften the sealer before removing.

Fit right on and great price on the switch. The switch that came from the manufacture rusted out and the plug to it was glued in. I was happy that the plug was with the switch
