On certain General Motors vehicles, the idle relearn process that's needed after replacing or cleaning an electronic throttle body requires an expensive scan tool or many time-consuming drive cycles. This handy and affordable Dorman OE FIX GM idle relearn tool eliminates the time those drive cycles take, and the high cost of a suitable scan tool. This dongle connects to the OBD-II port on specified GM vehicles. This tool helps the vehicle learn the parameters of a new or used throttle body, eliminating the post-installation drive-ability concerns that occur until the ECU learns the new throttle position. This innovative time-saver belongs in every technician's toolbox and is inexpensive enough to pay for itself with just one use by any DIYer.

Maybe it works for someone but I bought it to relearn my throttle body after replacement and this did nothing for a 2008 Buick.

Doesn’t work on my 2011 Tahoe. Even worse it made the battery light and service stablitrac light come on. Followed instructions twice with the same outcome.

I’m not going to approve because item didn’t work. You’re best bet is to go to a mechanic and get it done professionally.

Did not work on my 2010 Tahoe. It went thru the mode as stated and and opened my throttle twice to do its so-called reprogramming. After the green light flashed and beeped, I started the engine and it was idleling very high again. So it did not reprogram my new throttle body! I guess I’m out $44 . I Should get a refund if the product doesn’t do the job it says it does.
