Ideal for sharpening, deburring and general purpose grinding on most materials including stainless steel. Specially designed for working with conic surfaces. The bit diameter is 3/16-inches (4.8-millimeters) and the shank diameter is 1/8-inch (3.2-millimeters). Use the 415 dressing stone to clean the surface of the grinding stone and restore its original shape. You can also use the dressing stone to create a grinding stone with just the right shape for that special job. For best results, insert the accessory bit all the way into the tool and then back it out slightly before tightening down. This provides plenty of shank for the collet or chuck to hold onto the bit.

Ha, I actually used this up this weekend. I needed to make some holes that I drilled in the bottom of a plastic planter bigger and this did the job — but I do believe I used it up…will get another.

I purchased this thinking it would be better because I called Dremel customer service. My project involved removing the burrs from a cut of 1" square aluminum tubing by a chop saw. Removing the burrs would allow the plastic end caps to securely properly to the ends of the square tubing. Well, it took long to grind the burrs smooth and the grinding wheel was layered with aluminum material in the stone. If I would've know this, I would've use any grinding wheel.

I got this for grinding some damage out of a lawnmower blade, and it did the job. But there isn't much left of the stone now, and I doubt I'll get much more use out of it. On the other hand, for the price I really can't complain. I probably got my money's worth out of it, more or less.

I bought 3 of these for knives sharpening, now I regret I didn't order more, I'm not pro in sharpening knives, just trying to do it, it gave me a great result, with some practice knives will be razor sharp, I sharpened 2 knives and the stone still looks like new, and I was aggressively using it.Update: This product is really high quality, it lasted pretty long and as I mentioned before I was using it aggressively to see how it will last, this is a great purchase with a low price.
