Used as a side cutter to widen the rectangular hole in my older Traeger grill so it would accept a newer controller with meat probes.I used an 18" × 1" x 3/8" piece of flat steel clamped along the edges of the existing hole as a limiting straight edge as the blade tended to cut irregularly when I held the Dremel tool. This cutter is sharp and durable. Despite firmly tightening it in the Universal Chuck with the wrench, the bit did loosen and required monitoring/retightening.It does throw out extremely tiny metal slivers so appropriate PPE is highly recommended. I used full face clear plastic mask and gloves and wore an old long sleeve shirt tucked into the gloves. You do NOT want metal slivers in your skin, let alone your eyes.

I don't know why Amazon sends these requests for reviews when I haven't had a lot of time to test a product but anyway I've only used the bit once to modify a door strike plate and it worked great. The door had sunk and so the striker was too low to go into the strike plate hole.

This little thing chews through metal ! Very pleased with its performance.Takes a little getting used to , light passes, if you push it to hard it digs and jumps all over! I found if you move the bit in the direction of the rotation , you will have a little more control.Warning!!!! I was grinding out some rough welds .... all of a sudden i felt a sliver in my hand ... then another , and another! Found out that when digging into thicker metal , this bit carves out razor sharp micro slivers that go right into your skin!!! Spent an hour digging all of them out ! Nothing against the bit , just a heads up ! Safty glasses are a MUST gloves long sleeve shirt and a vacuum nozle right where your cutting wouldnt be a bad idea... you have been warned! Great dremel bit!

I’ve used the non ti-nitride coated bits for Dremel and they just aren’t hard enough. I’ve modified 3 chainsaw mufflers with this one bit and it still looks new and is still sharp. They cost more, but it’s worth it to me. Quick shipping great price, would do business again.

Lasts way longer that other bits. I use it for detail metal work, cuts nice, a lot less chatter than other bits. Yes, you might pay more for this one bit than you would for a set of 10 but you'll be happier. Just don't force the bit, let it cut.
