Fairly long consistent strands 2-3β. Other brands at this price are generally odds and ends under an inch.Just soak for an hour and then rinse a few times to get rid of the tannins.

This stuff is AMAZING!!! It does have a rich forest smell that to me is NOT at all offensive. The moss fluffed up amazingly fast. I have some projects for my Orchids to provide a more natural growing habitat that this moss is a very important element for it. At first I thought it was a bit pricey but decided to go with my gut. I am super glad that I did. A very good purchase!!!

At first I was scared how small the package was , I thought no way is this gonna be tge amount I was expecting. To my shock It does expand after wetting and fluffing it.I've only used 10 percent of it and that amount filled a large salad bowl.Thr product itself is exactly what I was looking for, it's hard to find moss that's alive and not just brown. It's great quality, this will be the only moss I purchase from now on.

I'm not sure what I was expecting for $10, but this was a pleasant surprise! I was wanting some moss to put around the base of a fake ficus so that one didn't just see a gaping planter with a plastic tree base inside. This moss came in such a small package that I was afraid it might not be enough. Within seconds of soaking it in warm water, it rehydrated into a massive pile of gorgeous moss. I am delighted with my finished project!In case it might matter to someone, I do want to mention that the rise water was very murky, so rinse well. Also, rehydrating released what I found to be a wonderful earthy smell like walking in a forest after a rain, but someone else might not care for it as much as I did. Overall, excellent quality and a great value!My Star Scale:5 Stars: I love everything about it!4 Stars: Room for improvement but still a great buy!3 Stars: Has potential but may not be everyone's cup of tea.2 Stars: Worked okay but wouldn't buy again.1 Star: Don't waste your money.

I soaked the 5 oz package in water in a 13x9β pan for about 30-40 minutes and it expanded to fill almost the whole pan. The directions say to soak it for a few minutes, but I let it soak until it wouldnβt absorb any more water. I let the excess water drain and it was very easy to separate and work with. I used it to generously top the dirt in five 6β pots and two 12β pots with houseplants. This is real moss with varying natural colors from green to brown. For those reviewers who stated it was not much moss and that it was hard to work with, I would say maybe they didnβt soak it to let it expand first. And for those who said it smells bad, I would question if they have ever walked in damp woods that have moss! This moss has a natural, earthy smell that is exactly what it should be and smells like a forest. Once I placed it around my houseplants I never noticed any smell in my house from it. The thank you note in the package was also a nice touch.

First time using this moss. Once opened up, they expanded and you have a lot of moss to use. I put them on the surface of my indoor pots. They look nice and may keep the soil from moisture loss.

I often struggle to find Moss for my Worm Farms, my usual source being the store that claims,"You Can Do It".Sadly of late, I have been "Unable To Do It" through their failure to keep a stock of the product.Therefore this was a blessing from Heaven, swiftly despatched and subsequently received.The Moss is absolutely brilliant.

It was cheaper than other bulk moss, but for good reason. This was smelly really smelly. And everything I used it with got some weird spots of mildew or mold something. So gross.

Right off the bat I smelled the forest, I hadnβt even opened the package yet. Very compact, I was thinking is that all. Let me just say there was enough in one pack to replace the soil in 3 of my largest (10β) plants. My place smells like an atrium. Soooo nice. I definitely recommend this product. And to know Iβm supporting a small family business is great ππΎ.

I love to see that it has the greenish moss that I was expecting to see. Most imporatantly, it comes with a thank you note from the seller. I wish that the seller can give me more information on how to maintain the moss its natural green. Super happy that I bought it. Now I know where to get my future moss.

I used it to propagate pothos cuttings and it worked well. I could see new roots way quicker than the water counterpart. It can also be used as a decorative topping on plant pots when you simply donβt want to see the soil. It can be used to create a moss pole for my vining plants too. Lots of possibilities with one item.

So fluffy. Mixed brown and green. Really really fresh moss. It really feels fresh and beautiful. I use it for begonia propagation and itβs really fabulous! I canβt get enough of it. It smells like a Forrest floor. No debris, no dirt. Obviously very carefully harvested. I love it for my plants because in for a plant to root it should be a clean environment. This moss has not been treated with chemicals or anything itβs a great option.
