This bag kept me very warm during a rainy cold camping trip.

As someone who is only just getting into backpacking, this is an excellent first sleeping bag.I have gone camping many times and have used other sleeping bags but have recently bought this one for a backpacking trip I just did last week and for $40 CAD there's little bad I can say.I took this sleeping bag with me in mid May where it rained our first night and was fairly chilly the next two with the temperature getting down anywhere from 1 - 4 degrees Celsius (33 - 39 Fahrenheit). Although it was a little chilly the coldest night (first night) the bag held up nicely and I really only felt the cold when I moved around and the opening (where my head sticks out) was expanded. I also didn't have an extra blanket with me, so it was only the sleeping bag itself that was keeping me warm so I was fairly impressed at that temperature. Although, I probably wouldn't go any colder than that and certainly not use this bag in the winter.I also fit quite nicely in it. At 5'9" and about 170lbs the bag's length was great and the width was okay. It would be nice to have it slightly wider but again, at $40, I'm not going to complain with what I got.The material inside is good and it's comfortable to sleep in (especially when paired with a sleeping pad). I'm also not worried about it ripping or tearing apart. I do want to mention that I did forget a pillow and the section that is extended on the sleeping bag (where you would normally place your pillow) is not the thickest material so don't rely on it as a pillow itself. The only thing I wish I would have looked at for this sleeping bag was its weight. 2.17kg is about 4.8lbs. That is on the heavier side when it comes to backpacking where you want your full kit to be as light as possible. This isn't a negative towards the sleeping bag but it's something I think backpackers should consider. I will most likely finish the summer and probably go into the fall with this sleeping bag, but whenever I can I will be looking for a lighter alternative. However, if you're just driving out to a campsite and staying in one spot for the duration of your camping, then the weight is obviously not an issue whatsoever.

THESE ARE THE BEST PRICED SLEEPING BAG ON AMAZON. I WAS AFRAID IT WOULD SHOW UP VERY CHEAPLY MADE OR FABRIC QUALITY. BUT I COULDN'T TELL THIS FROM ANY BASIC SLEEPING BAG YOU WOULD FIND IN STORE. THE BEST PART IS THE COTTON LINER FOR BREATHEABILTY. I LIKE THE EXTRA HOOD IF NEEDED FOR WEARING OR JUST LAYING DOWN A PILLOW ON TOP OF. IT'S NOT GONNA BE THE WARMEST BUT EASY ENOUGH TO ADD LAYERS INSTEAD OF OVERHEATING. I BOUGHT 3 FOR EACH OF MY KIDS. NO COMPLAINTS.

We got this for our daughter for camp, the pillow area is nice and thick which is great because we saw a lot of other sleeping bags that looked pretty terrible in the review photos compared to the seller photos so I was nervous about that. It held up well in the washing machine and has pretty good zippers. I wouldn’t use it for super cold weather, but it was great for her week at camp this summer. She also rolled it up and got it into the bag with no issues. Would order again

Not too hot and long enough for 6 feet. The extra features were nice too, especially the bottom zipper. Also held up well in the washer/line drying.

Excellent value. Good insulation, easy to pack and even has strap to tighten it and keep it all together. The straps are connected to the bag that holds the sleeping bag so they don't get lost.

Bought the green one for my daughter because green is her favorite colour. In the picture it's a very pretty bright green and the one I received is super super dark green almost gray colour. Other than that it's great. Perfect size and comfy. Just wish I got the colour I received.

Comfortable yes. I am tall and this bag fits me well. Fits down small in its sack. However it is definetly not a zero degree bag (32f). However it is accurate in saying its a 3 season bag. But for the price its a fantastic product. The material its made of it tear resistant. I would buy this product again if I needed a cost effective bag.

First, this is long so a tall person can wear it and fully stretch out. My son is 6 feet tall and very comfortable when the hood is on and he's fully extended.Second, it's surprisingly warm for how thin it is, but to be warm enough for 32 degrees, I think you'd have to wear warm things to bed and make sure you pull the air blocking part that goes around your shoulder and neck area closed enough and also wear the hood and pull that closed enough. In other words, if you dress as though you're camping outside in the winter, with long underwear, very warm socks, thick sweats and a warm hat, you should be plenty warm in this sleeping bag inside a standard zip shut tent at 32 degrees unless the wind is strong and blowing in your tent vents. It's not the very thick and heavy type of sleeping bag I grew up camping in, but it's still warm.Third, my basis for this review is using it with light sweats, and an undershirt and underwear and socks with no hat on an air mattress with the windows open at night when it was 40 degrees F at the coolest outside. I didn't fully snug up the to cords provided but did sleep on it and somewhat snug up the shoulder cord. The bag was fully zipped up most of the night. I found I got cold when I left it unzipped partially and didn't use the shoulder cord to snug it at all.Fourth, you can unzip it completely and use it for a comforter if you want, though the hood will remain on the top on one side so just fold that under.Fifth, a little tip to keep it fresh smelling. I haven't laundered it yet, but I know that synthetic hold onto smells a lot more than natural fibers do. If you are around a campfire or anyone is smoking anything, soak it first in vinegar and water, the more vinegar the better, for at least an hour, but maybe more. Then, thoroughly rinse and wash in warm water with plenty of detergent. Rinse again with a cup of vinegar in the rinse water and then rinse that out with a plain rinse. I tend to skip the plain rinse as the vinegar evaporates as it dries. DO NOT put in the dryer as any remaining smoke particles will be baked in.I can recommend this so far. If anything changes, I'll update my review.
