With the right drill bit, I was able to easily drill through the back plate to mount to studs in my trailer. Items aren't falling out (paint cans, and other items) even when other items may dislodge off some of my shelves when on country roads (or the roads in town in Spokane, some dirt roads are better than Spokane paved).
