Love this, came assembled and so very easy to use. This doesn't leak and functions exactly how it should.

Favorite waterer. Easy to clean in and out. It's sturdy and solid. The cap holds the water in for carrying until you on unscrew to release the water, the cap is held above so we don't lose it. The handle is solid and I use it to carry and then hang the waterer so the pine shavings don't get in.

We couldn’t decide on a good waterer without breaking the bank. Got this and absolutely love it. They don’t get the water as dirty due to the layout of the waterer. Also, in the winter I put a water heater under it and hasn't froze once! I have 30 chickens and this is perfect we fill it about once a week.

I don't think I'd want to try this as a hanging waterer since 7 gallons of water weigh 63 pounds but it works great sitting on a couple of cement blocks. This was actually lower priced than some similar 5 gallon waterers I was already using. I really like not having to fill them so often. I ordered two and they arrived within two days with free delivery.

Engineering wise: find a stronger plastic that suits the red bottom saucer, as it tends to warp (if not packaged properly) in retail or shipping. That is just a small issue easily resolved.Hanging a waterer is ideal given the environment (dust) and clients (chickens), but I will take the 7 gallon capacity. Solution: place it high up from the ground on $2.00 tiles from a hardware store and voila.Plus: visible waterline, plus: solid top handle and plus: simple system of closing and opening waterflow.Oh did I forget to mention that this does not rust like all galvanized ones? Unbelievable that these are still on the market. Rust? These look good, work well and most importantly, the chickens have a fabulous water supply. Only negative is that I would have known about these before the other systems that rust, fall over and have limited capacity. Try and you will see.
