Not quite what I'd hoped. One of the alligator clip arms came broken. I can put it in the holder anyway, so it's not worth returning it over that, but it was a bit disappointing. The steel plate isn't thick enough to resist warping, so mine came slightly pringle-shaped. That causes it to rock back and forth, and the magnetic chess pieces aren't all co-planar. Lastly I had come away with the impression the arms and lamp were magnetic - they are not. The only thing magnetic are the chess piece board holders. Overall it works, but I'm disappointed I'll have to buy another. Hopefully I can reuse some of the parts.

The design is a great concept, but the quality of the arms are mediocre. The arms itself will spring back therefore when you set something for it to hold, it'll move a bit from the original position you've set it at, that goes as well for the light's arm, I am limited to what angle I can use it due to the arm springing back to the position it can manage. You don't have access to what you would expect to be the range of the arms. The alligator clips are flimsy but it's clamp force it's strong, it doesn't work well together. I wouldn't use it for micro circuit board soldering. It'll do for small jobs, but not tiny jobs. the tweezers it comes with 10/10, that's the quality I was hoping to get from helping hands. It comes with two tweezers, one angled, one straight. Quality tweezers.

My only complain is the magnets are weak. They supposed to be a little stronger to hold in place.

Came in. Decent quality, but it only came with 2 arms and 4 rubber feet + the screws to fasten them. Would like the 3rth and 4th arm please, the design of this product requires all 4 arms for it to properly stand up and be a flat surface. Without half of them this product is useless.

Seems like it would be a nice tool to use if all the parts came intact. This one was missing pieces and one alligator clip is broken right out of the shipping package

This is very helpful come with a powdered coated steel plate, 4 arm that screw down to the base and the plate, it is not Magnetic in the arms but can be easily made to do both. But I think that bolting it to the plate is better. The 4 little 4x4 mounting candles are Magnetic are pretty strong enough to hold the board easy to move without tossing the part off on the floor because the Magnetic is too strong, which can damage the board or part trying to move it off or over a bit. By far the best part of this is the three-color led light and 3X LED Magnifying Glass. It's just the right size great light up of the area and magnify small work area.

I am so tired of needing to read the reviews to find out how the product actually works or doesn't work. The advertisement says magnetic helping hands...twice. These are not magnetic helping hands.The rubber that goes over the jaws is just a tube from something else stuck on. The product seems ok, but it does feel like the company is playing the game of how many people will actually keep the product.The arms do feel pretty solid but that's about all there is that is good to this set.AMAZON, stop letting sellers lie in their listings. Sure I can send it back, but I am getting tired of these companies using my time to have to return their garbage and buy again from someone else.

Review for: FEITA Magnetic Helping Hands Soldering Clamp StationWhen I first picked up the box after delivery, I was surprised by the weight, it was more than I expected. After unpacking, everything appeared to be in good condition. I particularly paid attention to the base place since another reviewer indicated theirs was in 'rough' condition (scratches and dings) but my looked good. All the parts were there, and it's very simple to assemble. There are 4 screws for the feet and the helping hands that are mounted at each corner of the base. The screw goes through a hole in the rubber foot, through a hole in the base, and then you screw it in to the helping hand. (I would have liked to have had a washer for each screw, but it is what it is) Lastly, there is a screw with a flat head - this is to hold the light to the base.I didn't get this to work on circuit boards. I got this more as a 'helping hand' type of tool. I recently had to replace the power cord on my circular saw (no, I didn't accidentally cut it, it's over 20 years old) and trying to hold everything in place and solder the new cord in to the switch left me wanting for something better. So I went looking and that is how I ended up with the FETIA soldering station.The base is elevated by about 3/4" which gives you some room to add something like a spring clamp to help hold something down. The flexible helping hand arms work great, the alligator clips are a little flimsy, but they are easily replaceable (they are held in with a small thumb screw). The USB light needs a power source (who doesn't have one in 2022 already?) and puts out a decent amount of light. There is also an inline, push button type dimmer switch, and it also has a button to change the color tempAll in all, I like it and would recommend

I make resin skulls with gears in place of a brain. I was having a hard time holding the gears while placing the glue and keeping them in line. I have a set similar to this for welding and thought they might help.Wow! this is stronger than my welding one. Not kidding.There was a small issue with one of the rubber feet. The hole was too large and the screw just passed through. I took care of this with a washer just a rad bit larger than the hole. It pulled down and grabbed enough of the rubber to fix it.The light has adjustable brightness and 'color'. The only thing is it plugs into a USB so if you don't have an adaptor you will need to order one at the same time. In todays world, I thing most people have them but just thought I'd mention it.My son want to use it for his computer work. The kit includes four stands for holding a board so he will get some use out of it as well. The magnets for the PC board are weak but with four it should be fine.The plate is heavy enough to be stable. That is a huge plus. My welding rig didn't even come with a plate.The clips have rubber grips that really help when holding my gears in place.I do like it and recommend it. I hope you found this review helpful.
