After my wife's factory remote had been used how ever many thousand times over the last 12 years, the buttons had completely broken out and left the remote useless. This new remote was exactly what we needed, and at a huge savings compared to getting a new one from the dealer. I was able to put the circuit board and key from the old remote into this new one and my wife has a working remote again. She was thrilled!! One thing to note is that if you use your old key, use the old key opening button as well because the new button doesn't seem to fit the old keys.

Replacing my original was so easy! Quick snap and a screwdriver and I’m all set again.

I had no more rubber for the button. I bought the case. I simply remove the rubber on the new one and put it on my old remote. 1 minute and it's done.

The rubber on my old stock key fob was starting to disintegrate, so I was glad when this arrived and looked almost identical. I say "almost" because the stock key fob has no panic button. Instead, the middle button is for remote trunk unlocking. Anyway, I transplanted all of the circuitry and original key to the new fob, making sure to load the spring mechanism so that the key still "flips". Surprisingly, everything worked perfectly. I put a sleeve case over the fob which acts both to protect the rubber and labels the middle button correctly. Overall, a good purchase.

They worked with no need to program to my car- yay! Which is good, since the QR code link didn't have instructions for my make/model/year. Found a great video online for assembly instructions so was able to assemble with no problem. One of the key points of the video I used was to insert the old (and the new) fob into a bag before using the pliers to open it. Definitely do this! The parts kind of explode out of the fob once opened. The bag keeps them all in one place.

You cannot use this to replace your factory fob and have the car work, you still need to go to the dealer

The ONLY issue i had was closing the the new shell after assembly. It worked perfectly and my old key fit inside this shell as well, and the new uncut key will be saved until i need a new one cut. The old transponder fit perfectly and had no issues with the item itself, whatsoever.Notes:- If your old key fob says "KIA" on it, it is the factory fob and may have a tiny black chip that you will need to move to the new shell.- If your old fob has a tiny screw on the back, save the screw just in case, my new one didn't need it but better safe than sorry.- Make sure your transponder is working before assembling new fob. If your transponder doesn't work, then you need to buy a working one from the dealer or locksmith or you wont be able to start your car.- Make sure you WIND UP the key-spring ONCE or it wont pop out when you press the button to eject the key.FYI, i am no mechanic but I have experience with keyfobs and circuit boards.

Very happy with my purchase. Good quality. The inside is not exactly the same as OEM so you must replace all the components.

This case is exactly like the original I got with the car. I replace my old Kia Rio 2013 with this case, from which the buttons were ripped because of the use. Opening the original case was not so easy though, but at the end I succeed to do it following a youtube video. Highly recommended.
