Working well with my arduino project. Easy to wire, easy to work with and they feel really good to rotate. Nice level of stiffness and feedback.

These encoders work very good. I am using the interrupts on the ESP8266 to read the value from the encoders. The one thing is that for each bump on the knob it's 4 interrupts on the A or B side of the encoder.I am not having any problems with bounce.

I managed to get these EC11 clones working with an Arduino. However, the contacts are very bouncy and the transition is quite fast. I had to add an RC debouncing circuit to avoid getting double-steps or inverted signals.

After my first evening with these I thought they were duds, but a bit more messing around and I have them working properly with an Ardunio. They don't work at all with the example sketches for rotary encoders because they need some serious de-bouncing. Considering that they say "for Arduino" right in the description, one might expect them to work a little easier without having to hunt through the interweebs for solutions to get them to yield usable output. No pin-out, no data sheet, you're on your own locating materials for similar encoders to figure out what you're doing. Was tempted to leave three stars based on the above shortcomings and because they require a bit of coaxing and bending to get into a breadboard, but i went with four stars because once you figure them out they're decent for the price, come in a nice little tray, and feel robust enough in operation.A tip for anyone that's struggling: If you do a search for "Improved Arduino Rotary Encoder Reading" you will find the page with the code that got these working reliably for me. With this code they are relatively bounce free and I was able to get them to trigger the messages i needed for relative midi control in a DAW.

Ordered to replace my old car's radio on/off switch knob. The overall height of the shaft is 3-4mm longer then my original, but you would not notices. I'm very happy I wanted to keep my classic car with the same radio other then try replace the new unit or looks for old replacement. I still have extra 3 for the future.
