This toy is generously sized and seems substantial and well put-together, for a very affordable price. It has a sensible amount of articulations, the articulated parts move easily and yet are not loose in a bad way. The articulations do not require big distracting slits and gaps. The toy didn't have a toxic factory smell and was easy to remove from its packaging without damaging it. The packaging was attractive but disposable (not a bad thing). The small grey jet accessory didn't even seem worth keeping; Godzilla can't hold it, it isn't detailed enough or colorful enough to be visually interesting, and you'd have to hang it from something with string (neither string nor hanging mount provided) to have it hovering near Godzilla. Perhaps worth throwing in there for those who are zealous enough fans of Godzilla to want to take the time to do that. The material of the toy's main body and its weight do not create something that feels particularly satisfying in the hands, but that is okay especially for the price point. This Godzilla hails from an era in which the head is rendered in a much more straightforwardly reptilian manner, which is not as much in line with my personal preferences as the earlier Godzillas, which I believe employ feline and human/primate facial features. However, this Godzilla maintains the loveable ration of small head to large hips and legs, and it somewhat maintains the stance of a human in a suit rather than a bona fide reptile -- both of which I love. The blue paint job on the body of toy seemed less distinctive and more blurred together in person compared to in the online photos of the toy, but the blue still contributes some nice colour compared to grey or black Godzillas. Otherwise the details on the molding of the toy are precise and create a pleasing silhouette. The translucent blue dorsal fins are the highlight of this toy for sure. They are plentiful, beautifully rendered and none of them are bent. The dorsal fins glow beautifully when daylight is hitting them, and even the part of Godzilla's back in which they are embedded is made of the same translucent blue material, which also glows wonderfully when the light hits it, creating a very believable impression that Godzilla's inner body is glowing blue, and that some of that is radiating out as far as the surface. Very cool.
