This is an excellent tool to groom My 2 cats they really like it and all the matted clumps on one cat were removed though other cat had no matted fur. This tool is not inexpensive but worth every penny paid. Due to design and stainless steel material I believe it will be very durable.

My 15 year old Maine Coon Cat, decided to shed her fur in clumps, it was driving both of us nuts! This "Brush?" worked very well loosening up clumped/matted fur without too much cat-screaming or person biting. I am going to leave it, the brush, in my will to my niece, who has three cats.

I have 2 giant long haired dogs with thick undercoats (Leonbergers). Their coats were neglected because of a serious long term illness to a family member. I wanted a good dematting tool so I could get their coats under control. I found this dematting comb was not up to the task. The dogs have 5 acres to run around in and they keep their property clear of deer, bears and probably cougars which means they go into bush and get sticks tangled in their coats as well. That is a hard task for any tool but this one did not do as well as a plain double toothed rake. Add to that the hole in the handle where the silicone was injected was not sealed and the goop came out on my hand. The tool is still useful as an assist but not as a stand alone tool as I had hoped.

This de-shedding tool is amazing. I can't believe we went this many years grooming our cats without this. A word of advice: This tool is designed for cats with long, thick hair and will not work so well on cats with short and medium hair. The best approach for removing matted hair is to start with the eleven toothed side until the tool moves freely through the hair. Progress to the twenty three toothed side afterward. If there are still areas of matted hair remaining, remove them with a super fine toothed de-shedding tool like a furmanator. Thanks to this tool, our yard now looks like a herd of Yaks have been living there, and our coffees now have considerably less hair.

I bought this for my golden doodle. It’s well made and easy to use. He doesn’t like to be brushed with it. I think I would probably buy something cheaper because I think it was on the expensive side but I was eager to get something that worked and the reviews were good.

I have a Labradoodle puppy that is prone to mating .. this dematting comb is great … for those times he actually allows me to use it. He seems to consider any brushing an experience akin to root canal. Nevertheless, I am happy with this purchase. Gets a lot of the undercoat out and therefore will help to prevent the little guy having to be shaved as an unwelcome means to remove mats.

This grooming tool works great. I have a longhaired dog that starts matting up a week after a grooming. I have tried other combs and dematting tools that work ok but require a lot of time and effort, she also (the dog) does not care for the pulling and tries to get away. This tool requires less effort and is much more comfortable for the dog. Having the coarse and fine side also helps. A great tool for a good price.

Two large dogs, and surrounded by Moorland, and rough farmland. Ours dogs inevitably come back from their walks with bits of bramble, mud and debris in their coats. Can be a nightmare as the Setter hates being brushed. Our Lab has a thick double coat and thankfully enjoys being brushed and pampered. After a number of years dealing with matted and knotted coats (despite our best efforts) this dematting rake is a revelation. Gentle and so easy to use on both dogs. Even the Setter is very happy that we have purchased this high quality rake, and is looking so very smart now.This is a brilliant tool, and works a treat. Matted hair, and knots are no longer a problem.I have also purchased another rake for our daughters Beardie Collie who lives on a farm. It is just fantastic for keeping her in tip top condition.I highly recommend this rake to everyone, no matter what breed of hairy chum you have. You will not regret your purchase.
