About this item

  • 【ALL-METAL GEARS】: High-temperature resistance, high abrasion resistance, strong load capacity, sturdy and durable, effectively protect the turbo worm gear box motor body.
  • 【PURE COPPER WIRE CORE ROTOR】: With precision winding technology, the turbo worm geared motor power instant increased by 30%.
  • 【D SHAPED OUTPUT SHAFT】: Using high hardness steel, good toughness, impact resistance, the quality of the bearing and the service life of the turbo worm gear motor are improved, extremely durable.
  • 【GEAR DC MOTOR with MICRO-TURBINE WORM】: You can change the wiring-connection to change motor rotation. Low noise and high torque.
  • 【RELIABLE GURANTEE】: Any quality issues, we promise 100% unconditional return service. If you need other voltage and rpm, please feel free to contact us!

You can change the motor wiring positive and negative, and change the direction of rotation of the motor, so they have 2 characteristics:
-- Turbine worm gear motor with self-locking, that is, in the absence of electricity in the case of the motor, the output shaft is fixed;
-- The direction of the output shaft of the gearbox is perpendicular to the motor shaft, and the direction of the output shaft of the whole motor body is relatively short to the ordinary deceleration motor, and the utility model is widely adapted to occasions where the installation dimension is required.

I like to tinker. I purchased this motor 4 months ago and just got around to using it to make an automatic live insect feeder. I just finished test running the 3D printed turntable for 24 hours and it is working better than my expectations.

For years I've been hunting for a really slow-turning motor for turning a disco ball at off-grid parties (IKR?!), ideally battery-powered.Naturally, commercially available ones are easy to find - but they turn at 5rpm, which is enough to induce audience vertigo! I've even tried using low-voltage PWM units to 'dial down' the speed, but around 2 to 1.5 rpm the pulses seem to be too spaced apart to run such a motor at its rated voltage (4.5-5.0v).Finally, I took a punt on one of these.Happy days!Sure, there's a little noise from the reduction gear - but now the points of light reflected off a mirror ball revolve as steadily as the sweep-second hand of a Rolex.Best of all, it was a doddle to fabricate a little plywood case for it (see pic below) and connect a tiny 2800mAh powerbank, which will happily run it for many, many hours (I haven't tested its full capacity, but it's done easily 5hrs so far, turning a smallish mirror ball).I've no idea what other uses an excellent little DC motor like this has, but as you will have gathered I am more than happy to recommend it!

15 RPM 12v version of this motor was bad. Used it for less than 2 minutes, then it disrupted my power supply. When I tested it with an Ohm meter, I found that the motor contacts/windings were almost directly shorted (5 ohm reading).It also had a weird ticking sound when the motor went 'forward' (normal polarity on the connections). There was no ticking noise when it was run 'backward' (reverse polarity).Good thing my power supply has built-in safeties to prevent it from getting damaged.Not sure I'll buy again.

This turned out to be a little underpowered for what I was looking to use it for, but decided to keep it on hand for another project that I have been thinking of doing. For it's size it has a fair amount of torque.
