No issues but for my application I had to but an exterior electrical box and custom fit to a box plate.I also bought another switch later which works well and comes with its own box.

First off, this is a very industrial switch and I really like the quality of it, but it did not exactly suit my purposes and I had to modify it. An important thing to realize with this is the pre done wiring is not done with slip off connectors, they are soldered and covered with shrink tubing. In my first picture you can see I had to cut off the wiring, and then melt the soldered wires away to expose the prong connectors as seen in my second picture. The reason I needed this switch was because I swapped throttles on an older boat and the old throttle had the trim switch built in, so I needed a replacement. With this particular aftermarket CMC power tilt and trim unit, it has a set of relays that control it and all you need to do is make contact between purple (live power) and green to go up, and blue to go down, so essentially I just needed the positive connections with no ground. As you can see in the third pic, you place the live power (purple) in the middle and when you flip the switch down, it makes contact with the blue, and when you flip up, it makes contact with the green. You only need terminals 4, 5, and 6 to do this. As a last note, this older boat had a wooden dash, so be aware you may have to chisel out if you are placing the switch in something relatively thick. Overall a great purchase but I wish it would have clearly stated the wires were pre-soldered on which made it a pain to modify, and in addition there was no guide on how to actually wire the thing which was very annoying.

Switch was turned on and off 4 times. Now the contacts are stuck in the on position and it won't turn off. Only switching about 0.5-1 amp load. Didn't last a week.
