It's very soft, no potentially damaging edges. It has a short pile on one side and a high pile on the other side. There's no trim around the edge, which is actually kind of nice. It picked up every spec of dust that it went over. I used it and the bald wipe for cleaning and leveling out a coating I applied to my car and later realized later in the coating instructions called for them to be discarded afterward (since some residue may crystallize and remain). I was disappointed by that fact and purchased another Polish and Bald wipe, because I really like them.
