I bought this stop light switch for a 1982 Ironhead sportster because the plunger broke off the original switch and the brake light was staying on permanently. It looks like this replacement switch has the same dimensions as the original, but the plunger on the new one is approximately .015" larger in diameter than the original. I had to use this new switch because my original was broken, so I used a small file to shave down the diameter of the plunger to where it would easily slide in and out of the handlebar switch block. I got it to work, but be aware that the plunger on this switch is not dimensionally the same as the Harley OEM switch.

1988 Low Rider. I wasn't sure that this would fit but it fit exactly. The old one was a little tough to get out and this was just as tough to get in but it was an exact fit. I needed to put it in and rotate it into place. Lots of extra wire to ease the splice job. Including the shrink tubes was a nice plus.
