I’ve played guitars for 50+ years and have always had guitar stands and always something wasn’t quite right. Either to flimsy, off balance, poor design, to light, to heavy or just plane poor quality. This stand is high quality, adjustable, strong, great for stage and most importantly for me is even with a cable jack plugged into the very bottom location the height can be adjusted to keep the jack and cable off the ground. I love the weight activated neck lock that keeps your guitar secure. Simple lift the guitar up and it unlocks and you remove your axe, then place it back in and the stand locks your guitar back in place. I highly recommend this stand, if you buy anything else you’re definitely missing out. Pay just a few extra bucks and never worry about your guitar on stage or at home.

I have owned a few Hercules stands. Previously the plastic all fell apart, plastic got weak. The rubber or parkerized coatings all turned to sticky gel. Yuk!!!These new units have changed for the better. No more rubber/gel to get icky. Solid, well balanced. I liked it so much I bought another one!

I've owned a previous version of this stand and it was garbage, I had the all too common problem of the adjustment handle getting inhumanly sticky, then just dying. I was hesitant to buy another, but there aren't many options for pointy metal guitars. Thankfully this one can be set high enough for my longer wing.Now the important part, the piece of plastic the handle is made out of. It's a hard plastic now and about half the size. Barring any technical accidents, I don't see this one failing. Oh, also the hooks in front of the headstock (the hooks that move) also used to have little foam padding in them, that just fell out of my old one. The material here feels built in.In all I would recommend this new version to anyone looking for a stand.
