Its genuine Honda so no complaints. Giving 4 stars because expensive. Note: per my research over the internet, this filter doesn't really need to be replaced over the lifetime of the vehicle. So, I could have done without it.

Transmission hasn’t exploded yet. Put this on an 05 element with 264k miles and the automatic transmission and it fit the stock bracket put 12k miles on it so far.

Works just like a transmission filter should. If you haven't changed yours since you've owned the car, I highly doing it, transmission filters can clog up over time and reduce line pressure.

This filter is a little tough to get at (had to undo hoses from top and bottom of car, then remove the airbox to get it out), but I'd still rather do that vs. dropping the pan to get the filter out (a la some domestic vehicles...).
