These are actually my first plastic symbol sleeves Believe it or not. I recently bought a vintage Japan made student kit, made by Pearl for my research, but labeled Dixie. It came with all the original hardware, three symbol stands and a hi-hat stand. All the stems are short, so I got these not only to protect the inner hole of the symbols but to give me some more height. I just leave the wing nuts off. In any event, these are doing a good job, protecting the cymbals and in my case adding some extra height to the stem so my symbols don't fall off, lol. Cheap and effective, recommended.
