This is a great dimmer switch that connects using a smart switch. You just plug your lamp into it and sign into the Smart Life app and you can control it with your phone. You can adjust the dimmer level or turn it on or off completely. This is especially handy if you are on vacation and want to have the lights turned on at certain times to make it appear like you are home! This is very handy, and I also like that I can turn off the light when I am upstairs in bed and my husband has left the living room light on again! Very handy.

At least the description mentions the battery not included. I was lucky to have a stash of them.Works great. has two plugs.
