Great fastener for my outside Christmas decorations on porch railing. Held up even in windy weather

I have two sets of stairs inside my house, plus my front wrap-around porch, a back deck, a shed, and a gazebo. I never get to hanging Christmas garland on all of these because it's so time consuming and tiring. Until I discovered this hook and loop reusable cable, I had been hanging Christmas garland using my expensive Christmas ribbon. This meant a few things; 1.) I had to tie and untie bows every time I put up/took down garland; 2.) I used a lot of extra wired ribbon - and I mean a LOT of extra ribbon; 3.) each time I put up the garland, I had to eyeball and guess where to tie it back on each post to try and make it even. But, NOW I don't have to do all of that! The bows stay tied on exactly where they need to be at the posts, and the hook and loop also stays on the garland where it needs to be attached to posts. No more guessing, it's way easier to attach the hook and loop than to have to tie the bows (and get them to all look the same), and no more wasting expensive ribbon! All I need to do now is fluff the bows once they are put up. HUGE timesaver! I will also be using this to tie back my curtains I have outside in my gazebo. I have pretty tiebacks. But, the wind often pulls the curtains out of the tiebacks. These will solve that problem!

I thought I was receiving a tape that is almost 1/2” wide, (.5”) but this is about 1/4 of an inch. That would be .25 - not .4. It does what it is supposed to do, but it isn’t terribly strong, so I will need to buy something a lot beefier for my heaviest appliance cords. I Amin the middle of packing for a move and wanted to fasten all m y appliance cords with this type of tape, but it is too late now to get the size I really need. Disappointed. I will get something better stated from another source after I move.
