Sentry Ratchet Kayak and Canoe Bow and Stern Tie Downs Strap

These items arrived quickly and seem to be pretty good quality. Used them a few times to tie down the bow and stern of my Kayak. They work well for this and are easy to use.

I was using straps to tie down my kayak and they buffeted in the wind too much. It’s stressed me that they would fly apart. I bought these and they are so easy to use,they stay good and tight and they don’t buffet in the wind at all. I drove for an hour at highway speeds, and when I got to my destination, they were as tight as a when I started

Good tie-downs for cartopping or trailer loads. They're not as heavy-duty as Thule tie-downs I also use, but they're a fraction of the price and great as long as your load isn't really heavy. GREAT for kayak bow/stern ropes, as long as you also use belly straps. The ropes and plastic casings are a little thin, but at the price they're not costly to replace - in several thousand kilometres of cartopping, the only issue I had with one was when I dropped it on the pavement and the plastic casing cracked (totally my fault, not the product's). Never had any problems with the ratchet failing or a rope breaking. These ratchet-type tie-downs are a HUGE improvement over trying to tie ropes tight, I highly recommend them.

I wasn't sure when I bought these if they would work to tie my kayak down but I was VERY impressed! They are so easy to use and they didn't budge a cm, even when I drove down rough logging trails. I would definitely recommend a set for tying anything down that you don't want to ratchet strap with that much force.
