Born out of the same lightweight mountaineering design used for our Mountain Extremes, we built our Wildland Fire Boots for a singular purpose: To keep firefighters on their feet through brutal conditions, without having to worry about boot failure. We started with the heat and flame tested K-73 Fire, high traction, deep lug outsoles, utilizing Kevlar Hot Zone stitching and laces, on fire resistant 10" full grain leather uppers that mold to your feet. The result is unwavering support, Kenetrek's renowned durability and all day comfort. Meets all NFPA 1977 Standard Requirements on Protective Clothing and Equipment for Wildland Fire Fighting 2016 edition. Made in Italy.

Way more comfortable than a pair of logger style boots. Used them almost a whole season so far and no durability or grip issues so far. Im expecting these to hold up a second season too. I came from danner style boots so these are a step up and no need to double sock like you would loggers.

Bought this product with a recommendation of a couple of coworkers. Out of the box I was suprised at the tread depth compared to danner WTF. The have heavier duty gromits and hooks. No plastic piece in the heel that rubs your skin of. Stock laces are garbage as per usual with boots.

Advertisement is for the "mountain safari " and I was shipped the "new safari" these are completely different boots. Still a quality boot but not what was advertised.
