This did protect my car keys that were breaking but it is not full proof - I did break and loose a piece even though it was protected with this.

Not only refreshes look, makes buttons more bright and better tactile, but also adds security from chip broken when falling. Design might be disputable (my wife says she prefers other style), but for me it serves its purpose 100%!

Fit my 2006 Honda Pilot key fob, which unfortunately has a crack at the top, making the key unstable & flimsy. Once the Silicone cover was on, the Key was no longer flimsy and quite stable. Essentially, the Silicone cover functions the same as a Cell Phone Case. Went outside to my Car to test it out.Unlock the Car: Check.Locked the Car: Check.Insert Key in the Ignition to see if the Computer picked up the signal: Check.Rating: 4 1/2 out of 5. Only reason I can't give it 5 Stars is because I have only had it for 1 day, so I don't know how durable the Silicone Cover will be over time. Nevertheless, if you were thinking of making this purchase, do it.
